Sounds good and price great but, not good.
This sounded like a great little handheld cb transceiver, but after testing and trying to get through to other cb'ers who was pretty close to my proximity, no joy, the receiving side of this thing was pretty good to be honest, but as to transmitting back to them it was no good. Also this unit has to have 6 x AA batteries installed which you have to buy yourself, obviously with something like this that needs a bit of power to transmit, i recommend alkaline batteries, but even with alkaline batteries or rechargeable i could not get through to anyone, this cb handheld portable radio is useless unless you just want to talk to someone like your neighbours in close proximity, for god sakes they state this thing can transmit 1 - 4 watts, also i found a bug with this thing, the button that selects high/low power for some reason stopped functioning, you press the button and the unit acknowledges this but, the high/low indicator on the screen just stays blank, i have worked with pmr for years and i can tell you, stay away from this cb handheld, a waste of money, find some second hand units on ebay from the era of 80's 90's, it is ashame as this unit supported am too which sold me, but this really is useless unless you just want it as a receiver which is pretty good at that, and also there's not many reviews of how this unit performs on the internet, but i can tell you it's awful, take care all :)

Serious power supply issue
Wanted this chiefly as a hand-held portable device. Soon found quite heavy on batteries so ordered rechargeables. However, battery holder is comprised of two sections with three batteries side-by-side in each, which close against each other and slide on to form bottom part of radio. The diameter of at least one popular brand of rechargeable AA, although not officially the case, is very fractionally larger than alkaline equivalents, a difference that is doubled when The holder closes with the batteries against each other, so accurate enough closure of the case is not possible for contacts to the radio to receive any power. Can't use it on mains either, because only available external power supply has to slide on in place of battery holder as only point of power connection, and is intended for in-car use and also unavoidably connects a chunky cable intended to run to an external antenna lead, but certainly without such an antenna compromises the sensitivity of the transceiver to a point where it is unusable. I only discovered this when I had also purchased a 240-12 V transformer with cigarette lighter socket to be able to use the Moonraker power supply so could run it from the mains! Incidentally, had already returned one unit because thought the battery holder was faulty, but replacement was exactly the same, so this is evidently an unavoidable issue. such a pity, a great little unit when you can afford to run it.

Adequate π
This was brought for a birthday present... As I've returned to CB after being off it for 20 years. The radio is adequate for what I want it for. I've got an external antenna plugged into it at home and I get to places. With the stock antenna it's poor (sorry guys at Moonraker) buy another one as the one I have brings the signals in and gets me out... This radio is not the best I've had but I like it so I'm keeping it... If you want performance purchase something else.... Although I like this rig I can't recommend it as you will have trouble...... Cheers

Haven't fully tested the unit in the great outdoors. Lightweight and looks good
Haven't fully tested the unit in the great outdoors. Lightweight and looks good. No frills hand held CB. Only current issue is that it came with a back plate so that you can attach unit to a belt but no screws for the plate

Small and light.
It small and very compact. Extremly light weight. You don't get a car charger or car cigarette lighter adaptor with it, it's just the basic unit. That said, it seems well made, and because of its size you can take it anywhere with you. Have yet to use it for contacts but from first impressions it seems like a good little rig.
