A safe effective laundry soap
Good example of a safe laundry soap. Its a good cleaner and is easy on the skin. The packaging is one of the most environmentally sound I've ever seen (but does have a learning curve to open. Try running a dull knife under the underside of the top to loosen the glue). No plastic container is a plus with a very clever scoop included. Likes include: (1) Its soap based and not derived from Petroleum (2) A USA made product (3) Its creators Dan and Dan have a deep love of their community and the environment (4) Cleans without trying to mask odors (5) Safe on the body as usedFor persisten odors and a cleaning booster when using a product like this, add an OXY type of product (to boost like ingredients in DanSoap), or Borax (personally think is safe to use and have used over 40 years), or a natural pretreatment available from many sites. We have soft water and live in a warm area so it dissolves easily. Try shaking in a small container with warm water if there is a problem with dissolving. Products like this are worth the effort it since they do not harm our bodies or the water.

Environmentally friendly laundry soap, made in the United States.
I have been using this dry power laundry soap in our High Efficiency washer for about a month, putting a scoop in the detergent drawer. Normally no power remains in the drawer after a standard size load. There as been a small amount remaining on smaller loads. Which was also the case when I used the previous brand name detergent pods. I do have sort-of sensitive skin, this lavender soap has not caused my any rashes or allergic reactions. It has a pleasant scent, not to strong. There is a plastic lid and scoop, not sure if the bottom of the container is plastic of not (I haven't wanted to remove that piece just in case that is the only thing containing the soap). Besides that limited plastic, the packaging is environmentally friendly. This is made in Cleveland Ohio (United States).

Pretty good soap, horrible packaging
First of all, this laundry detergent has been a blessing. It's the only kind I've found that I'm not allergic to, and it cleans pretty well. However, the packaging is just plain ridiculous. The outer carboard cylinder is difficult to open -- I ended up just cutting the lid free with a knife. And then inside, there's this thin little plastic bag that shreds so easily that eventually I ended up with tiny plastic bits mixed in with the powder. If they could just use more normal / reliable packaging, this would be way better.

Good back to basic detergent.
I like how it doesn't leave strong scent, but smell clean and fresh. I started using it for my daughter's clothes but switching to using it for our clothes as well. Nothing fancy, but it is cheap, and effective. Leaves the clothes clean and smell fresh. It is not supposed to have tons of suds.

Open packaging in Laundry Room!
This is no fault of the seller/packager, just the nature of the beast. Made a bit of a mess when opening.I was a bit worried at the smell when I first opened it up but this soap did not trigger any of my allergies or cause any skin reactions. Only the stubbornness of stains required additional work with a laundry booster or additional work on the stain.

Doesn’t work well for front loaders
Maybe I’m supposed to put the powder directly in the tub. But I put it in the dispenser. Checked after I did a load and all of it remained in the dispenser. That’s just one of the issues. First package is impossible to get open. After a nasty paper cut under a nail (and beyond painful for days so what chemicals are in this detergent?) I turned to my husband’s tools to get it open. The inner plastic bag was split open. The paper spoon that they have us do origami to make it leaks everywhere causing a mess. So then I tried to liquify it by added it to an all natural plant based laundry detergent. Science experiment gone bad! I put about 3 paper spoonfuls in, less what was leaking through the origami spoon. There was about 1/3 of my natural detergent still in the jug. Filled with distilled water, leaving room to mix it up. It wasn’t mixing well. So I put the lid on the jug and shook it up. I expected foam/bubbles…um there was gas build up as the jug was noticeably expanding! I removed the lid very slowly to release the pressure. It spewed about a foot in the air! I had the mixture all over the place! Once it was done I replaced the lid and cleaned up. I noticed after the 10 minutes of cleaning was finished the jug was swollen again! This time it was like lava rolling over the edge of a volcano! Left the top off overnight. Checked it in the morning. The powder never incorporated into the liquid detergent! It doesn’t liquify with water or other liquids. So how does it clean? Will not buy again. I bought both the lavender and unscented. I will try to figure out a use for it. But it definitely irritates small cuts so that they hurt for a few days. I don’t believe for a second this is a natural product.

Makes me sneeze!
Not a fan of this stuff. I tried the lavender first and everytime I scooped it out I found myself in a sneezing frenzy. I thought maybe it was lavender so the next time I purchased unscented, but the same thing has happened. As far as cleaning capabilities, I think it's just fine! My clothes feel clean and smell fine.

Helped sensitive skin, + only 3 natural ingredients
I experimented with many detergents before finding this one, which did not irritate my skin. It dissolves every time in the dispenser of my front loading washer - no problem. Seems fine to get dirt and grass stains out of garden clothes. I don't depend on it for stain removal such as salad dressing or blood - I pretreat with Shout for that - but it works well. I'm a loyal customer
