A great quality, sturdy knife, perfect for those wedding cake cutting photographs!
High quality, sturdy, well finished item. The knife feels heavy and is of EXCELLENT quality.I have purchased other wedding cake knives and they DO NOT COMPARE to this product.NB for anyone thinking of buying…These types of knife are not intended to be used to cut the cake in to portions. Aesthetically, they’re used to make the photograph of the bride and groom look nice. (A picture of the happy couple cutting their cake with a cook’s kitchen knife, is not as appealing!)I’d only use the knife for the cake cutting ceremony. As a professional cake maker, I would ALWAYS use a professional chef’s serrated knife to slice the cake)I have decorated the knife by taping a mini flower corsage to it, which always goes down a storm with the couple! (See pic attached) The flowers do not come with the knife.Hope this helps anyone thinking of buying a cake knife for their wedding.

Well made, imposing, celebration knife fit for any occasion of note where a cake is taking centre stand
An imposing cake knife fit for any occasion. Large enough for two people to 'double hand' cut. Really well made, doesn't feel cheap and it arrived in a lovely presentation box. Something that could be kept for memories and of course those significant anniversaries!!!!Thought the price was competitive too so I'm happy with it. The knife arrived well packaged and on time (early in fact) so marvellous.Recommend this product if you're looking for a 'celebration knife'

Nice but disappointed!
Very nice knife, good weight and pretty. The only problem I have is that it looks like I got the one off the display shelf! The knife is filthy full of black dirt on the handle, I'm hoping I can get all the marks off or I'll have to send it back for that price, very annoying as I bought it to cut the cake with at my wedding in 2 weeks time. The presentation box would have been ok if it wasn't battered and old looking and I also noticed that there is nothing on the knife or box stating who it was made by or what weight it is. Very disappointed really, I'm just hoping it cleans up ok.

A Very Safe Knife
A beautifully made, presented and well packaged knife, that matches in very well with our other Kings Pattern cutlery.Unfortunately, it falls down on one very important aspect; it is blunt. The blade is approximately 1.5mm at the back-edge tapering down to 1mm at the cutting edge where it is slightly serrated, but there is absolutely no cutting edge, where it should be sharp, is a 1mm wide flat edge. Please see the attached pictures. It is so blunt, I can safely run my fingers up and down the cutting edge, with no injury.I am afraid this does not qualify as a knife; with no cutting edge, it is a very beautiful spatula.Just imagine a family has spent thousands of pounds on the biggest day of their daughter’s life. All friends and relatives assemble, the ceremony, the speeches and presentations of presents to bridesmaids and best man take place and the time for cutting of the cake arrives. The Bride picks up the beautiful looking knife and the groom covers her hand, so that they cut it together as the culmination of the ceremony. The Bride tries pushing the knife into the cake, but it will not go through the icing, she tries a sawing motion, but still no luck. Now the groom adds his strength and together they force the knife through the icing and even with a sawing motion the blade can only push the fruit aside instead of cutting it, so a cake costing hundreds of pounds is reduced to rubble by a knife which is incapable of cutting anything. This knife could completely ruin a wedding.
