True to size

Very comfortable and well built boots. I’m pretty hard on boots, this is my third pair and I normally get about eighteen months out of them. Always scrub some mink oil into your boots, and you can bet they will stay water resistant.

Fits as they should every time and comfortable however I'm hoping this pair last longer than six months like the last pair I purchased. Two pairs prior one year no problems. Last pair six months and the heel inside the sole came apart was disappointed but hoping it was just a defect we will see.

Like all things imported, they do not last long. We have been buying Red Wings for years, but they too have fallen to the lack of quality. So my hubby, the mechanic, tried these. They are reasonably priced...but again...in 6 months...they are dilapidated. Can we PLEASE bring our manufacturing jobs and quality back to America?!

I have been wearing these for a week now. I have found that, upon my second purchase of a Carhartt boot product, that break in period really short if any. I like to use them for about a month prior to replacing insoles (cost cutting part) which I do in all boots but this boot is very well made. Light good room in the toes and width is perfect. I use it for work but could looks good enough for casual wear with some jeans.

Rubber soles let go partially then worsen until no good. Bought at least 4 pairs hoping first ones were not the usual. Every pair was a throwaway at 5 months or less. Very disappointing because they felt very comfortable. Carehartt products are not the quality they were in previous year's. But to be fair I guess you could say that about many previously reliable brands.
