Very handy little lighter
This item fell apart as I tried to remove metal insert to fill with fluid. The striker and wick assembly pulled out, but the metal insert stayed lodged in the housing. I'm going to be returning this lighter.Update: I let the company know of my problem and they responded quickly, informing me that they are sending me a replacement. So far great customer service. I will update when I recieve my replacement.Last Update: My replacement lighter came (2days later) I took it apart, filled with fluid, re-assembled, flicked the striker a couple times... and it made fire. Over and over again, it made fire everytime. For its intended purpose, as a $10 emergency fire starter, I'd give it 5stars, no doubt. Their customer service is 5star as well. So, even though my first lighter broke, the company sent out a replacement immediately, and it worked flawlessly. So I'm going to be giving them a 5 star review.

and a small wind can easily blow it out
I'll start by saying this is not very windproof. I tested it out a few times since receiving it, and a small wind can easily blow it out. It's not necessarily a bad thing though because it's easy to extinguish and it's ridiculously tiny. It only takes a small amount of fuel (I used Zippo fluid) but it seems to be sealed tight enough that it will hold it for a good while. The flame is small but enough to start a fire, which I did earlier tonight to burn some boxes. I keep a small van of Zippo fluid in my camping bag so I have it hanging on a zipper pull and it holds pretty well. I do already have some waterproof matches in the bag but this is a nicely made alternative or supplement incase they run out.

Keeps fuel from evaporating as advertised, always ready when you need it, even if you don't use it often
I'd had this lighter for three months now. I filled it once when I got it, and it still lights every time. I should note it is a backup, so I don't use it daily, or sometimes even weekly. But that's exactly what makes this lighter great. You can let it sit for months, and it'll still work when you need. In fact, I haven't used it in about a month, but I just now pulled it out to see if it still lights. Yup, one flick, lights right up. Anyone who's carried a classic Zippo around knows how quickly they allow the fuel to evaporate. Nothing's worse than needing a light, only to find your lighter is out of fuel.

For anyone who claims it "doesn't work" you either over ...
For anyone who claims it "doesn't work" you either over filled it and got the flint wet so it won't spark until it dries a bit or you need to adjust the wick. Simple fact is when sparks meet flammable liquid soaked wick, it will light. Had to deduct a star because the plating on the inside is degraded. Isn't it supposed to be solid stainless steel?Works as advertised. Buying more for EDC bag, camping ect.

Seems like a solid survival lighter
Update 17AUG2018: Have had one of these in a go bag and the other sitting in my desk drawer. Just pulled them out after 8 months. Both lit first strike!Update 31DEC2018: Filled this 3 months ago and placed it on a shelf to test if it would evaporate like a zippo does, as of today, it was still lighting with a single strike! Not sure they will work in a windy situation, but it seems to be a great emergency fire starting option(one of many I have)! This is so good, I ordered a second one to add to my wife's go bag.

Nice little compact keychain lighter for emergencies
Nice little compact keychain lighter for emergencies, camping etc. It's a very simple yet sturdy design - you fill the reservoir with lighter fluid, replace the starter, and go. The lighter case is water tight with a small O-ring as well.

Really Useful Item
Just a useful item. Nothing really more to say about it. It just goes on your key chain and is ready if you need it. Fire whenever you need it. VEvery camper/backpacker should have one of these no doubt

Perfect backup fire starter.
Great product... I always like to keep backup fire sources everywhere. Fero Rods, magnesium, bic lighters, etc... this might be my favorite yet. It's sealed, so it's waterproof and holds fluid indefinitely. It's small and metal so you can put it anywhere and not have to worry about breaking it. Best of all, it gives you a actual flame, not just a spark... definitely recommend, and will be purchasing more myself.
