WEST texas SHADE (and windproof)
i live in far west texas where the winds howl and the sun beats down making any outdoor product subject to rigorous testing They say only the tough survive out here :) I needed a trusty "shade producers" to accompany my pergola (kit). I tried hefty vinyl lattice but it eventually broke down into shards thanks to the sun, and then flew away into my neighbors' yard. Sharp edges and children don't mix - i was given the stink eye. So I tried coolaroo fabric (which i also love) but it wasn't able to produce enough shade (doubling it would have made my pergola rather aerodynamic - i didn't want to see the entire pergola launched into the wind). I pondered...what could i use? Shade and piece of mind where my driving motivators. Camo! But i could only visualize the old stuff i used whilst serving proudly in the US military. That heavy, smelly, dirty, ugly stuff...ugh. I was headed to the local Army Surplus store when the USAF in me said "be smart/er" so i checked amazon. Liked what i read. Ordered it. Lightweight and pretty!!! (USAF happy terms). Happy clapping and glee! Put it up over the top of my pergola (lightweight came in handy as i can't do too much overhead work anymore). Doubled it, bought another and doubled that (4 layers). PERFECT!No odor.Lightweight.Appealing colors (desert).Rustles perfectly in the wind (lovely sound - like leaves).Best of all, lots of SHADE!Its goes very well with my savannah-like African motif. Reminds me of all the exotic locations i've been to. Teens (my nephew and his friends love it too). Neighbors are happy too. I am happy.Win-Win-Win.

I really do like these nets
I really do like these nets, and have used them on several occasions for their intended purpose, to hide things.Pros: Lots of airflow, and the mesh breaks up the shape pretty well. The mesh is also reinforced and prevents it from ripping easily.Cons: The mesh is reinforced with thin cord (like 550 guts or fishing line) and it gets caught on absolutely everything. Zippers, clips, clothing, everything that has a rigid or stiff edge, and it can be a huge pain getting it untangled. The string pull cords sewn on the corners also rip off fairly easily. The camo, while "desert", doesn't really blend in with anything in the desert either. Maybe in some places in the world, but not one I've been to yet.All in all, the nets served their intended purpose and with far better results than I expected. From a (relatively) low-flying helicopter using a digital camera and zoom lens, people still had to be shown where the nets were positioned to hide things. If I could, I would change the colors to match a real desert environment and find a solution to prevent the netting support structure from catching on everything I own. All that being said, I continue to use the two nets I have in a series of environments across the globe.

Good material, has long lanyards on each end for ...
Used it this weekend to cover up my tent camping and Coyote hunting in the Nevada desert. Good material, has long lanyards on each end for tying down. From far away, they camouflage my tend pretty well. Only issue is that I wish they made a 20x20. Its way too long for how wide it is. I tried putting it parallel to my Ford Explorer and the netting does NOT go flush to the ground to cover up the wheels on both sides like it shows in the product picture. I purchased two knowing that it one would not cover up an entire SUV or a 9x9x9 tent like the one I have that connects to the back of my SUV. So if you want to cover up a SUV, Jeep, etc AND a tent. Buy two if not three.

Lightweight
This isn't the military camo netting by any means. But it is exactly as described, a light weight camo netting. Which is nice because it breaks down into a tent sized stuff sack. It's easy to deploy and provides some shade. The 20 by 20 is big and roomy. I do wish they had a Hexagon one close to that size. The netting is thin so be careful on tree branches, but any damages on these things can be fixed with zip ties.

Very good product
This netting it great. This is not the thick heavy military camo net we used in the army that lasts forever however this netting is is very very light weight and packs up real tight you could probably fit the 10 x 10 in a gallon size zip lock bag. The color is good a little on the light side ,the net backing grid is sturdy but light weight, the camo material resemble that of a camping tent material . All in all it works great i used it for a shade canopy for outdoor projects and couldnt be happier with the end result. I ordered 2 additional 10 x 10 to extend the canopy. Very good product

Of military grade
Okay so the purpose that I got these was for my kids treehouse I built them. It serves the need to just camouflage and blend into the tree. It is made of plastic so it’s not noisy per se but it should not be used for hunting or thing that need to be kept covert. I was in the military and this is NOT the same type of material found on those. Of course you can find them but you’ll know it when you find it because of the price, way more expensive. Aside from that, does the job.

Durable and strong
I bought this net to hang between two trees to block out light, noise and ugliness from a neighbor. It is more porous than I thought, so I had to fold it over to get better light block, but it is strong and durable, standing up to strong winds, rain, etc. The ropes attached to the net did not hold very well to the trees, but some good bungee cords worked great! I highly recommend this for any outdoor covering use.
