Review of TP-Link Deco BE65 5G (1-Pack)
Review of TP-Link Deco BE65 5G (1-Pack) for Caravan UseIn the ever-evolving landscape of connectivity solutions, the TP-Link Deco BE65 5G emerges as a compelling choice, particularly for those who seek reliable internet access while on the road. I have recently integrated this device into my caravan setup, and I am pleased to share my experience. First and foremost, the installation process was remarkably straightforward, a critical consideration for anyone travelling in a mobile living space. The Deco BE65 5G comes with an intuitive mobile app that guides users through each step. Whether you are a tech enthusiast or someone who prefers simplicity, the app makes the setup process accessible for everyone. With just a few taps, I was able to connect the device to my mobile data plan, configure my Wi-Fi settings, and have everything up and running in less than 20 minutes. This is particularly advantageous when one is eager to hit the road rather than deal with complex installations. Once the system was operational, I was immediately impressed by its stability. The BE65 uses advanced Wi-Fi 7 technology, which provides multiple benefits, including improved speed and increased capacity. This is especially relevant in a caravan setting, where you may have multiple devices connected simultaneously. My experience has shown that the Deco BE65 maintains a strong and stable connection, even when streaming media or conducting video calls. The performance was consistently reliable, regardless of whether we were parked in a remote countryside spot or near more urban environments. Another aspect that sets the Deco BE65 apart is its coverage area. As a mesh system, it is designed to eliminate dead zones and provide seamless Wi-Fi throughout the caravan. While I typically would expect to encounter some connectivity issues due to the layout of our space, the BE65 managed to ensure that every corner of the caravan received a solid signal. This comprehensive coverage is vital when you are camping in areas with limited connectivity, as it allows for the uninterrupted use of services such as Netflix and other streaming platforms. One feature that deserves a special mention is the security aspect of the Deco BE65. The device offers robust protection against online threats with its built-in antivirus and security features that keep your data safe. This has given me peace of mind when connected to public networks or when relying on mobile data while travelling, knowing that my personal information is secure. Moreover, the Deco app provides excellent management features. You can monitor bandwidth usage on connected devices, prioritise certain devices for enhanced performance, and even set up parental controls if needed. As someone who values oversight over my connectivity, these tools have proven to be very effective. In terms of design, the Deco BE65 is sleek and unobtrusive, blending well with the interior of the caravan. Its compact size makes it easy to find a suitable location within the space, and it doesn’t add unnecessary bulk, which is often a concern in mobile living environments. In conclusion, the TP-Link Deco BE65 5G has exceeded my expectations for caravan use. Its easy setup, stability, impressive coverage, and security features make it a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their internet experience while on the move. If you're seeking a reliable and user-friendly solution for staying connected in your caravan, the Deco BE65 is definitely worth considering. It has transformed my travel experience, ensuring I stay connected wherever the road takes me.

Expect Better
I have been using the BE65 5G since March. This isn’t my first high-end TP Link purchase. Fibre isn’t available where we live and fixed line broadband only averages speeds of 20mb. Our best solution is a 5G router. We’re lucky enough to get Three 5G here, and speeds average 500mb. As a whole, I’m not overly impressed with Deco. They look the part, and when they work, I get the speeds I mentioned. However, there are known issues where connection is regularly lost and I suffer pauses browsing website - a 10 second wait for pages to connect and load. This happens all day when Apple devices are connected - they don’t play nicely together. Stability is poor for a unit that cost £500. This will certainly be my last Deco purchase, as it’s not the first time I’ve experienced issues with their hardware.

Great device should be the core of your mesh environment
B65-5g. Excellent WiFi 7 replacement for my older X80-5g which was also a fine device. Definitely noticed better WiFi speeds overall. Had a small issue with firmware and access to WiFi settings over the app but tplink support have worked with me, fixed the issue and have a firmware release to help if you should have a similar issue but they were excellent in support. Great device to be the hub of your mesh environment and with a sim dropped in you can either just have 5g internet or you can have 5g backup for your working from home setup to ensure you always have connection.
