Torani Sugar Free Black Cherry Syrup 750mL

As a diabetic, I was looking for a sugar-free solution to sodas that didn't use headache-causing Aspartame. Aspartame is found in all can or bottle diet sodas, and can cause a long list of side effects harmful to your health. Torani sugar-free syrups use sucralose (splenda) which doesn't have any of the bad side effects I've encountered with Aspartame. Now I mix my own sugar-free sodas using various flavors mixed with seltzer water or club soda. The raspberry and blackberry flavors make refreshing sodas, and the chocolate flaver is great for a "mocha" coffee. You will also want to order the pump that goes with these bottles for ease of use. About 1 and 1/2 pumps to 10oz of seltzer works for me, but you will want to find the right mix for your taste. These sugar free syrups would also be great for shave ice or home-made popsicles in the summertime. At last: sugar-free, guilt-free, health-safe soda pop!

1c heavy cream 1.5c almond/coconut milk .5c allulose 2tbs monk fruit .25c cherry syrup Heat in pot until edges are bubbling. While the milk mixture is heating mixe in a medium bowl. 2 egg (I use egg yolks only) 1tsp vanilla 1tsp cherry flavoring or extract (optional) Whisk together untoll creamy. Drizzle 1c of Heated milk mixture to egg mix whisking vigorously. Add another cup of milk mix very slowly to egg mix. This tempers the eggs so they don't scramble in the hot milk. Pour egg mix into the milk pot and whisk together. Cool quickly then refrigerate overnight. I use 32oz deli containers to cool and store. Next day add ice cream mix to your icecream maker. I use a gelato maker. Mix 20 minutes. Put icecream into a freezer container. This scoops easily even a week later.

Flavor could be a little stronger. Won't complain though. For a sugar-free syrup it is very good. As are all the SF Torani that I've tried.

I’ve also used it in sparkling water when I want something sweet but still light. It’s honestly the easiest way to make a regular drink feel special. Comes in a glass bottle while other types I've bought have been in plastic. The flavor is perfect! Exactly what I was looking for to add to my Tiesta Tea Cherry Punch tea. Doesn't taste like cough syrup at all (which is usually a risk with regular cherry flavored items). Definitely buying again when I run out!

So, I love black cherry, and when I get something like a Diet Hansen's Cherry Soda, or a Diet Cherry Coke, I'm in heaven. But for those options, you can't always control how much cherry flavor you're putting into stuff, and I wanted to be the master of my own cherry flavor destiny. I've been experimenting also with managing sugar to cut calories, and being deeply in love with Torani's Sugar Free Hazelnut syrup, I went for the Black Cherry, even knowing it wasn't Prime and was coming in a bottle way bigger than I wanted. Alas, the courtship ended quickly -- this tastes like the cherry flavor you get in ice cream or 7-Up Slurpee. If you've ever had a high quality black cherry sorbet, or even those soda's I've mentioned above -- and black cherries themselves -- you know that there is SUPPOSED to be a bite after you eat one; but that there's a perfect blend of sweet and dark rich flavor to balance out that tartness, so it's addictive, and you want more. Actually if you can get a hold of a black cherry in high quality ice cream, that flavor is often there, too. But the ice cream of course is also hard to find. Anyhoo, the point is -- this is a watered down version of cherry. I don't get the same "bitter" after taste people are getting, but I'm actually LOOKING for a "tartness" similar to what you'd get after drinking cranberry juice. You want that bite, that bite is the tartness of one of these suckers. But this tastes like cough medicine without the terrible alcohol flavor, like a frozen popsicle that's cherry flavored. All that fake cherry flavor stuff. It'll do in a pinch I think but it's really mediocre, basically, for those who REALLY love black cherry and know what it's about. If you're a "casual" syrup lover, you might not notice or care. But trust me. If you've ever had your grandma make you a black cherry pie ... you'll be ruined for life.

I love this item, it's not too sweet with a pleasant after taste. I was sad that Amazon wasn't offering it for sale and had to spend more $ to buy it elsewhere. I love making skinny shirley Temples with this with ice, maraschino cherries and club soda or adding it to my more bitter teas or making herbal iced tea with it. Amazon, bring it back!

I used this to add cherry flavour to my ice tea, and make cherry Pepsi. You need at least 3 squirts using the pump to flavour Pepsi, but less for the iced tea. The smell does remind me of cherry NyQuil, but it tasted a lot better than in smells. I do use this flavour a lot and it goes with many drinks like lemonade.

Great tasting product, although it is a little sweeter than I had hoped for. Overall, if you’re looking for something to combine with soda water and come up with a low calorie tasting beverage, it’s a pretty good option.
