Good book!

Interesting book, perhaps a little light when it comes to actual pond making details. It is a worthwhile purchase to use as reference for future projects.

This book didn't get into the construction like I thought it was going to. Half the book spent talkingabout ponds he's seen or heard about. On building it was very vague....dig a hole in clay and see ifit holds water....duh

This was a gift to my son who needs to build a pond and the previous edition was highly recommended.It looks good but needs some colored pictures to get 5 stars.

Wasn't what I thought it was about.

Disappointing! For me at least as I was looking for more help with an imperfectly put in pond. Much better if you're putting in a new pond from scratch. It is a classic, after all.

Not what I was looking for

Nice book with good information as a INTRODUCTION to pond building. But not enough detailed information on digging etc. Suggests checking it out at library. We need to buy additional books.

Very good book!

This book is not a guide to building a swimming pool pond the cover picture and title are misleading.It is a romanticised story of a man who dug a hole on his land.I also suspect from the terrible writing that he was drunk when he wrote it!
