Durable and reliable for everyday use
We have had this ice maker for over three years now and my husband and I often say it is one of the best and most useful purchases we have ever made. We are a family who loves ice and when the icemaker on our fairly new fridge kept breaking down, we opted to purchase this. We use this every single day and it never fails us. We use only distilled water for our cubes - not sure if that makes a difference - and I clean it out with white vinegar every couple of months which helps get rid of any build up. We've accidentally left it on all night many times and the only consequence has been it just runs out of water and the ice melts. We keep the ice in a ziploc bag in the freezer with an ice pick next to it (you will need an ice pick). Highly recommend!

Reliable and Fast Ice Maker — Works Flawlessly So Far
Very happy with the machine so far. It’s very easy to use, and when you press the start button there’s no delay—it starts right up immediately. This was a replacement for another brand that arrived defective, and this unit has worked flawlessly. I’ve used it about five times so far and it produces ice quickly and consistently. It’s best to transfer the ice to the freezer as it’s made to prevent it from melting, but overall performance has been excellent. The only minor drawback is that it is a bit large and takes up some counter space. Otherwise, it feels well-made and of good quality, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

Lots of upside with some downside you need to consider
Updated: Worth noting that it looks like there are several different machines in these reviews. This one is specific to the ecozy 2" Clear Ice Ball Maker with CrystalFlux technology. TL/DR version: Pros: Fast Makes a lot of ice Works fine with filtered water Pretty simple to use Cons: Very large footprint Kind of loud Ice balls are smaller than I'd like Inconsistent shape of ice balls The long version: I initially left a 2 star review based solely on my frustration with an aggressive sticker that is clearly intended to be removed but took me 10 minutes to do so. After about a week with it, and some contact with customer service, I'm updating my review to be more reflective of the product overall. Honestly, this is more likely a 3.5 star, but I'm rounding up because their customer service was so responsive. I'm typically a bourbon drinker. If I'm feeling really fancy, I'll have an old-fashioned, but there's so much sugar in them, I usually just stick to bourbon. I've had an spherical ice mold that works pretty well, but is very time consuming and takes about 24 hours for a single ball. I wanted something that would be easier and faster. After a handful of online reviews and videos, I settled on this. I was excited to get it, and shipping was pretty fast. The product box was inside a larger Amazon box with no additional filler or padding, so the extra box was pretty unnecessary. The retail packaging is solid enough that the machine arrived in good condition with no cosmetic issues. My first impression before unpacking is that it's pretty heavy. My second impression after unpacking is that it's also very large. I've included a couple of pictures of it with my coffee maker to give a sense of size. We have a pretty small kitchen, without a lot of counterspace. So this eats up a good chunk of it. As I was setting it up, the aforementioned sticker was my first irritation. The adhesive on a sticker clearly intended to be removed should not be so aggro. Otherwise, set up and the initial self-clean was easy and quick. I am not running plumbing to it, so I can't comment on that piece. The space available for manual filling is pretty tight. At first I was trying to fill it with a Pyrex measuring pitcher, but it's easier with a glass, though you'll need to probably do it twice to fill to the max line. While running, it's pretty loud. Imagine an oscillating room fan. But you only need to run it while making ice. It doesn't have to be on 24/7. It takes about 40 minutes for the first ice balls to drop. Then about every 30 minutes for another 90 minutes or so, before it runs out of water. At which point you'll either need to add more water, or just turn it off. I tried both distilled water and water filtered from my refrigerator. It seems to make no real difference in terms of clarity of the ice. Both came out mostly clear, with small visual defects. The ice balls themselves are pretty small. They're about the right size for my smallest whiskey glasses, but I have some larger ones that they don't make a very impressive fit for. The uniformity of the balls is a little bit all over the place. Some of the other reviews mention that they get more perfectly spherical over several batches, but I haven't seen that to be the case. Sometimes they have the divot in them, sometimes they don't. I've had a couple come out more like blobs than spheres. Even the most perfectly formed ones are pretty lumpy. If you're expecting a perfectly round, perfectly smooth ice sphere like you would get in a fancy high-end bar, these are not that. Fine for personal use, but I wouldn't plan on blowing anyone away with them. One thing I was aware of but should be pointed out is that this is not a freezer, and will not serve as long-term storage for your ice balls. It stays cool enough for the ice to last probably through a party, but it's definitely not cold enough to hold them for more than a few hours. The ice begins to slowly melt immediately after dispensing, so if you're wanting it to last a day or longer, you'll definitely want to have a dedicated container for them in your freezer. It comes with ice trays that you can use, but I think they take up too much space for what they hold. So I am using a reusable silicone, zip-lock freezer bag. The machine itself seems to be well manufactured and solid. It's nice looking, just very large. The drip tray feels like an engineering after-thought, but it does what it's supposed to do. Overall, this does what I need it to do, but there are a few things I wish it did better. The number one thing I'd change would be larger spheres. Number two would be more consistently shaped. Number three would be a much smaller footprint. Otherwise, it's a good product.

This machine is a litany of bad design choices
I’ve had this for a week and so far, I’m rolling my eyes. The option of having a water supply and drain lines are present, but I can’t use them due to my circumstances. So I have to manually fill the water reservoir. I’ll start there. The door doesn’t open far enough to fill the reservoir with a one-gallon jug of distilled water without spilling it all over the place. This is the first idiotic design choice. Designing the door to open to 90 degrees would solve this problem. I cannot fathom why it was designed this way. It also makes it more difficult to remove the ice bucket. Furthermore, the “Max Fill” marking for filling the reservoir is not visible AT ALL without getting a flashlight, even though the inside is illuminated and my kitchen is brightly lit. I attached photos of this stupidity. The joke of a drip tray is completely inadequate and useless for the amount of water that gets spilled during filling and regular use. So much so that I don’t even bother to use it. But here’s the biggest head scratcher: The way this machine works is a continuous process of producing and melting down ice spheres, which makes zero sense. The ice bucket sits above and shares the same space as the water reservoir and is perforated on the bottom. This arrangement makes it physically impossible to keep the ice frozen. Once ice is produced, it begins melting. The machine can keep the ice bucket full, but since all the ice is continuously melting, all but the topmost layer of spheres are useless due to being in a misshapen state of being half-melted, leaving maybe half-a-dozen (at most!) usable spheres on top of the bucket at any given time. And those spheres are only really usable for a short amount of time after the machine spits them out, as they begin to melt right away and are unusable by the time the machine spits out the next batch. To make matters worse, once the bucket fills up, oftentimes a sphere or two will get stuck above the top rim of the bucket and melt itself to the lower spheres so they stay there, blocking the sensor so the machine isn’t triggered to make new ice. Before long, all you’re left with is an ice sculpture of half-melted, misshapen spheres climbing up the back wall of the bucket, with no usable ice. Because of this continuous melting / production cycle, it runs nearly nonstop, and it’s relatively loud. The end result of all of this is really wet, barely frozen ice. So wet that I wouldn’t use these in a cocktail right out of the machine as they melt extremely fast causing the dilution level of the drink to go through the roof. Instead, I have to remove the most recent 5 or 6 spheres, if I can find that many looking good, and put them in a container in my freezer so they can be properly frozen. All else aside, I just cannot even wrap my head around the fundamental design choice of continuously producing and re-melting the ice. WHY??? This is not an ice maker, this is….well…I don’t even know what to call what this machine does. Why not separate the water reservoir and keep the ice frozen??? My guess is that’s their gimmick for making “clear” ice - keeping it wet. Because when I put the spheres in my freezer to be properly frozen, they’re as cloudy as my manually produced spheres. This thing is getting returned. What a joke.

Never made Ice - But Customer Service is top-notch
Review Update. When I received the ice-maker and it didn't work, I spent some time trying to get it to make ice and then gave up and returned it and left a negative review. Within days - ECozy contacted me and quickly sent a replacement item free of charge. I'm happy to report that this item does indeed work and lives up to my original expectations. In the world of mass produced items, we are quite used to having the occasional failure - which is usually returned or disposed of with rarely a response from the manufacturer. ECozy is the exception to this rule. They really stand behind their product and go to extra ordinary effort to make sure their customers are happy. I've therefore revised my review to 5 Stars. Original Review >>>>>I read all the reviews and decided that this was one of the better ice makers available. It wasn't available in Canada so I purchased one on a trip to the US. I made the mistake of not testing it before I returned and discovered it was non-functioning when I arrived home. The machine would go through all of the motions, but the tubes the ice formed on never got cold. I tried contacting the vendor who was quick to respond, but they had no ideas other than leaving it running for longer periods and making sure the water was cold etc. I pushed them for some additional ideas on how to repair it, that turned into them wanting me to send them videos of the machine not working. I gave up and returned it to Amazon at significant cost and will buy another unit here from a different manufacturer.

**I would buy from them again without hesitation. Highly recommended!**
**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Customer Service – Truly Impressed!** I don't often write reviews, but this company absolutely deserves one. After receiving my machine, I experienced an issue and contacted customer support. To my surprise, they responded within **one day** and immediately took ownership of the problem. There was no back-and-forth, no excuses, and no attempt to avoid responsibility. They simply apologized and arranged to send me a replacement machine right away. In today's world, this level of customer service is incredibly rare—especially when purchasing from overseas. They have been responsive, professional, and genuinely committed to making sure I was satisfied. As someone who owns several businesses myself, I know that problems can occasionally happen with any product. What truly defines a company is **how they respond**, and this team has exceeded my expectations. **DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME LOOKING FOR ANOTHER ICE MAKER. I HONESTLY DON'T THINK IT'S POSSIBLE TO FIND BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE THAN THIS.** I can honestly say this has been one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. Their communication has been outstanding from start to finish, and they've earned my trust and future business. If you're considering buying from them, do so with complete confidence. They stand behind their products and, more importantly, they stand behind their customers. **I would buy from them again without hesitation. Highly recommended!**

Works really well
I am very pleased with this machine. It makes a nice-sized sphere of ice and does so pretty quickly. I turn it on in the morning and in a few hours It makes a bin-full of ice spheres. Good value for the price.

Works as advertised!
I've had this for 24 hours and made sure to leave the unit standing for 12 hours before I even first tried it out. I don't imagine the unit was kept upright during transport by the delivery process so waiting before using gives the unit a chance to settle its 'freon' before operation which protects the longevity of the appliance. It made ice as quickly as it stated it would when I first started it up and the ice does not have any flavor from the manufacturing process. Its pretty quick to get a basket of ice then go dump it into the bag in the deep freezer to keep my ice tasteless. Ive been doing small batches and quick freezing them in the fridge freezer because they will be wet coming from the ice maker and straight freezing them all in the same bag will make the bag of ice stick together into one block. Best to quick freeze mini batches then break them up into the ice bag as you add them in with the rest. That keeps the cubes relatively individually frozen for easy dispensing when you want them. Ive already made almost 2 full bags of ice, which will last some while here for our drinks. I unplug the unit at night and when I don't need ice to be made. The 'laser' shut off works properly and when I have a full basket the machine stops it's processes until the basket is emptied, but I'd rather just shut it down when not in use. I'm very happy with the unit. It's quiet, convenient, and make nice tasty little cubes. If I have any issues with this unit I will update my ratings but so far, it's 5 star all around. Especially since I got it at a 'lightning deal'.

The best for amount of ice and the short time it takes!
This is the best little ice machine ever! I can’t believe how much ice it’s made and it’s so fast! I’ll buy another because of the quality! It’s so tiny that you won’t believe it isn’t twice the size!
