Soooo close
These are as close to comfortable as bibs can be for me. I’m a big guy and my gut is the issue. I’m thiccc. Normally I wear 46x30 and with reading the comments I sized up to 50’s. I’m 5’11” and 345# and these were the closest I’ve come to bibs fitting. First thing I noticed is that they are high waters on me with the straps all the way loose; barely touching my ankles. The second issue is that I had to unbutton the top button on the sides. I could be buttoned up but after sitting for a while it was uncomfortable. I have a physical job and being up, down, and in tight spaces I need just a little flexibility. If these had stretch in the bib portion and in the sides it would help loads. If there was a size 52 that would probably be my size. They feel great. The fabric is awesome. The pockets work for phones and pens. I liked the fit and it felt like they would be very durable. I highly recommend them to guys needing medium use bibs. Not sure how they’d hold up to harder utility use. These are normal thickness so you’d have to wear layers if in the cold.

Love this overalls!
My experience with Carhartt and work overalls is very limited. At 44 years old I haven't put on overalls since my toddler years. I purchased the my first pair in tan to test them out, tried them for one day, and then ordered another pair in charcoal. These overalls are more comfortable than anything else in my closet! During this past year I bought two more pairs which feature different cuts and fabrics yet remain extremely comfortable which increased my total to four pairs. I especially like the canvas fabric. I anticipated that these Carhartt overalls would be rough and stiff like other Carhartt products I've seen. The canvas fabric is very soft but still sturdy and didn't shrink after being washed. The zipped pocket on the bib is now my favorite feature of these overalls. Keeping my items zipped prevents them from spilling out of the pocket during bathroom visits! When they're dirty, I just toss them in with the whites and they come our perfect. My life has been free from manual labor tasks, which I consider the essence of Carhartt. These overalls work well for men with office jobs who need to perform manual labor tasks at home or in other places like church or woodworking shops. These quickly became my go-to clothing choice after work hours and during weekends. Everytime I wear them in public, at least one stranger asks about them. Highly recommend! You won't be disappointed!

Get one or two sizes larger than normal if you have a belly at all.
Bib overalls are designed for people who don't get wider above their waist, so you gotta take that into consideration when ordering the proper size. If you are a trim, fit guy then order your normal size, but if you are like me and have a few miles on you that have stored up a bit in your belly, then you'll have to adjust accordingly. I am 5'11" and about 240#. Yeah. I could stand to lose a few, but I used to be 285# so I'm working on it. But I do still have a bit of a belly. I normally wear a size 38 in jeans, but since I don't like them tight, I sometimes get a size 40. I tried the Dickies in 40x32, thinking that bibs SHOULD be a bit big all around, but couldn't come close to fastening the side buttons. I thought about sizing up the dickies and trying again, but they were very baggy in the legs and hips. I can't imagine what Dickies thinks a man looks like. It's as if they were designed by aliens who heard about humans and then made some overalls based on what they heard. So I bought these Carhartts in the gravel color, also in 40x32 just to see what the difference was. I was immediately impressed with the difference in quality. The legs and hips fit PERFECT, but the side buttons were still a little tight. I was able to easily button them, but I don't like being hugged all day across my belly. While standing and walking they were fine, but when I sat down at my desk, I had to unbutton the sides in order to be comfortable. I am returning them and I already ordered a 42x32 that should arrive in two days. At first I was turned off by the price of the Carhartt when compared to the Dickies, but after getting my hands on a pair, I am very impressed with the quality, fit and design. I LOVE the pocket on the right leg that perfectly fits my phone very securely. I'm going to buy one pair that fit me now (probably 42x32), and when I lose another 15 or 20 pounds I'll easily fit into the 40x32 Bibs. By that time I'll be in a size 36 jeans, so keep in mind that the bibs need to be just about two sizes bigger than what you normally wear in jeans. I'll update this when I know more. Update: The 42x32 came in today and they fit perfect. I can say now with conviction that you should ignore Amazon and Carhartt and get one or two sizes bigger than your normal size if you have anything more than a flat stomach. If you have a flat stomach then sure, buy your normal size. Another update: I've lost about six pounds since then and the 42x32 still fit great. Once I'm down another ten to fifteen, I'll go to my local Carhartt store and try the buy the 40x32.

Beware the Gate Keeping construction workers
My Carhartt overalls have been a fantastic addition to my motorcycle riding gear, even though they occasionally get me some awkward stares from construction workers who seem to be gatekeeping the brand. These overalls have proven their worth in many ways. Firstly, they are incredibly durable. Whether I'm on a long road trip or a quick commute, they provide excellent protection against wind and road debris. The heavy-duty fabric and reinforced stitching have held up remarkably well, even in harsh weather conditions and on extended rides. The functionality and design are spot-on. The ample pockets and overall style offer convenience and ample storage space for my essentials. Plus, the classic Carhartt look is a bonus that I find stylish and iconic. Now, about those stares from construction workers – it's amusing, to say the least. While Carhartt has deep roots in the construction industry, it's versatile enough to be a great choice for motorcycle riders like me. I've been met with a mix of curiosity and bemusement from construction workers, and their questioning glances have provided some humorous encounters. In summary, these Carhartt overalls have been a reliable and comfortable choice for my motorcycle riding adventures. They've proven their worth time and time again, and the occasional quizzical looks from the construction crowd only add a touch of uniqueness to my riding experience. I highly recommend them for anyone who values both style and function in their gear.

Great so far
I messed up and ordered these instead of the canvas and it was a happy accident because my husband really likes these. He wears his canvas Carhartt overalls OUT— works out in the yard a lot but can keep the same pair for years. These are stretchier and lighter than the canvas but still sturdy. So far seems better for warmer weather.

Great, just gotta watch quality control
Love these. I've had these for 4 years and have used them at work, casually, and even for camping. I've gotten tons of complements on them but they're super durable as well. Very comfy, great pocket organization. Only catch is that the buttons aren't centered (the side ones) so one of them is dangerously close to ripping off the side (won't happen unless you have a really big belly and then it might rip off).

Great product, fits perfect, heavey fabric. Use for work, easy to care for.

Elastic warped
Love these and wanted them for so long, but they have been worn twice and not yet washed and the elastic on the suspenders/braces has warped already. They still function okay but it looks weird and doesn’t fill me with confidence for their longevity. In suppose time will tell.

Long term investment, makes buying them cheap.
I have wanted to have a pair of these for a good few years and couldn’t justify the cost initially. The sizing is correct, I wear 34”x32” jeans almost everyday. I’m 5’9”, about 13 stone and a 33” waist. These fit me perfectly! It’s like I’m not even wear any pants! Double layered front, tons of pockets and these are really comfortable to wear straight out the bag. Some carhartt gear can be stiff heavy feeling, the duck canvas especially so, the chore jacket I have still stands up on its own, 8 years later and many many washes. These will last a long long time, making the price small in the long run. If you can find them in stock, get them whilst you can.

Muy grande, cambio de talla
Compre dos tallas y son enormes, quisiera descambiar una por una talla menos pero ahora el precio es superior a cuando lo compré. ¿Me podrían cambiar la talla por el mismo precio?
