Pizza stone
Took some time to adjust from my ceramic stone, but I'm getting there. This heats up quickly and stays very hot for longer. I use mine on an outside grill.

Excellent upgrade from baking stone.
Upgraded to this from a baking stone based on information in Modernist Bread and Elements of Pizza. For pizza, the baking steel was the difference between limp in the middle crust and uniformly crisp crust. It I’m have not yet used it for bread baking.

It heats up incredibly fast and evenly, and the difference it makes in the crust is unbelievable—perfectly crispy on the outside, yet still chewy and soft on the inside.Whether I’m making a thin Neapolitan-style pizza or a heartier deep-dish, this steel delivers restaurant-quality results in my home oven.
