Bristol Bulldog biplane fighter diecast 1:72 model (Amercom SL-7)

I have been an avid collector of the Corgi model airplanes for a number of years and have a particular interest in biplanes. There are a few World War One planes that have been produced by Oxford which have underwhelmed and buying this model was a bit of a punt. I would have to say that I was shocked just how good this model is - it even comes complete with rigging. The model in question is intriguing because it is a replica of the plane that I have seen at the RAF museum in Hendon. I love the silver livery and the checked patterns on the wings of the planes from that era. There is something magical about the biplanes of the early thirties which looked extremely modern yet which seemed to become obsolete extremely quickly. I found the detailing to be impressibe although note the other comments about the accuracy of the undercarriage. None-the-less, I felt this model is superior to the Oxford models and coupled with the fact that it came with a magazine outlining the history of this plane, can only give the model a five star review as it is such good value for money.

I nearly did not buy this aircraft because of some reviews, but I am glad I did. What a fantastic model. It came very quickly, completely intact and looks amazing. I have a few biplane models and this is now, one of my favourites. Great price, and a great model.

I bought this for my grandson as he is an avid collector of military planes and he loved it.

It’s exactly as described, not very big, just what my Grandson wanted!

I put it on a shelf and a couple of days later it fell to bits with both bottom wings falling off.I mended it but I shouldn't have had to have needed to.

Bought for my son who wanted some model planes to display. My husband already collects Oxford Diecast lorries so we knew the detail for the scale would be great compared to other model brands,
