**Quick Update after using for over 6 months. No failures, no overheating, light output appears unchanged. People comment how nice they look, not your everyday nightlight. Original review below. Still a happy camper, bought 4 more since my original purchase.Great little lights! Have a nice warm color temperature same as incandescent lamp, not the obtrusive bluish color of most nightlights. Works best if your outlets are vertical as opposed to horizontal. With a vertical outlet, you can install as shown in listing and light will be deflected downward. With horizontal outlets it'll shine sideways. Since both prongs on the night light are the same size, you can position it to shine up or down in a vertical outlet and left or right in a horizontal outlet.As with any photocell, these nightlights require a fair amount of light to turn off. Two of mine pretty much operate 24/7 because of their location, but keep in mind these are LED meaning extremely low power usage. Taking into account the power supply efficiency of these little lights isn't the greatest, they'll probably pull around .5W. Even if on for 24 hours a day using an average estimate of 12 cents per kWh, each would use just over 50 cents a YEAR to operate. You'd never notice that on your electric bill. You can plug your kWh cost in the below formula to calculate your yearly cost. If your lights are in areas that have enough light to turn them off everyday, your yearly cost is even less.0.5W x 8760hrs = 4380 Wh = 4.380 kWh @ $0.12 = 51.6 cents per annumIn the long run, as we've found, these lights may actually save you more money than they use. We no longer have to turn on overhead lights when it's dark at night or even in the evening. These will more than light up the floor area with a theater type lighting. We have two spaced in the wall outlets above the kitchen countertops which provides more than enough light to move around and grab a snack or put the dishes away. Again, no need for turning on 6 can lights = energy savings.I've read some bad reviews, but none of ours have failed. One thing to keep in mind with LED's is they need plenty of air flow to stay cool. The components in an LED lamp hate heat which is why an inexpensive LED Bulb will often fail prematurely in an enclosed fixture. It states that on most boxes of the cheaper lamps, but few people read them. The same would apply to these lights, maybe the components aren't top of the line but still meet standards, or maybe they are, can't say. All of the night lights we have are in open spaces, not blocked by a curtain that might get closed at night or tucked behind a sofa or chair that might have gotten pushed back against the light. Not saying there won't be failures, all LED's will fail. A 5 cent component in your LED TV can fail rendering it useless, it's going to happen.If one of these fail, so be it, consider the cost. They provide a nice warm light, provide safety in low lit areas, cost extremely little to operate and allow us to move around the house after dusk without flipping switches on in every room ... which could lower your overall energy use in the long run. Would not hesitate to buy more of these.

I was looking for something attractive, efficient, cost effective, non-flickering and UL listed. These dusk to dawn nightlights checked all of those boxes. The sensors are sensitive enough to automatically and accurately read low light situations. The louver cover allows for an interesting, diagonal downward pattern on the lower wall and softly illuminates a 5 1/2 ft. swath of dark hallway floor with crescent shaped light, similar to end of aisle seat lighting in old-time movie theatres. Because these nightlights are more than 3 inches wide, they are too wide to accommodate a typical bathroom side-by-side switch plus outlet double wall plate. Satisfied with this item, I bought another 4-pack. I have used these nightlights for almost 2 months without issue. (This is an honest opinion for an item I purchased--there were no freebies, bribes or payments for this review.)

Lights the floor without glaring in your eyes. Decent color temperature. Wish the pair came with the choice of two of the same exterior finish. Just the right amount of brightness, and the night/day cell works well in several locations around the house - better than others I have tried. This is the second pair I have ordered. Since I like the bedroom really dark, the one there is connected to a Smartlife outlet with Alexa voice control. Most satisfactory setup I have found, and I am picky about lighting.

Disclaimer: I almost never give 5 stars unless I am blown away.I bought these to put around my home to help walk around without turning on all the lights at night. They are good quality and feel durable. They are extremely bright and the sensors work decently well. I have one outside my bedroom in the hall and sometimes I see the light under the door and think I left the hall light on!I just wish the light sensor was a little more sensitive. You almost have to have direct light on it to make the light turn off. You can't have any shadows on it or it will be on all day and night.

These lights are great for a hallway, where I needed to put one of them, but were too bright to use in the bedroom where I wanted one. I covered a couple of the slots where light comes out and that toned it down enough to use there as well. The light detector is a little slow sometimes, but that may be a function of the area being a little bright for them to come on until my shadow hits them. For the price, these appear to be a good deal.

These are just ideal night lights. The "theatre style" louver design directs most of the light towards the floor. The LED color temperature is a warm white that I greatly prefer, as opposed to the awful blue-toned light emitted by most other products.I note that several years ago, I could find this style in local stores, but those have now disappeared everywhere I've looked. I can't imagine why that happened, but happily this 4-pack is even a better deal than what one paid back then for a single light.

We have been using these for 4+ months in our dark hallways, living rooms and bathrooms, and they are still working well. The louver cover design is great at casting light downwards, so they don't blind you when you are walking in the dark. The sensors work well and the lights come on as soon as they sense darkness. They are bright enough to allow us to navigate to and use the restroom at night without the need to turn on a light.
