Exceeded my expectations
So small and lightweight with power to spare. Built-in tuner and effects simplify set-up. Love it. I've been playing bass for 47 years and know quality when I see it.

Amazing small amp!!
I bought this as a practice head for home but I used it at my last show and it was amazing! DI out and plugged in a MarkBass 2x10 cab. WoW! what a surprise.

Be careful if a venue's power supply is iffy...
The TC Electronics BH250 has worked well with one exception. I was playing at a venue that had evidently had some recent electrical work done. In the middle of a song the amp cut out on me. It was still on and still getting a signal from the guitar because the tuner was still active. It came back on then cut out two more times. I subsequently heard that when the AC power fluctuates, this type of amp can have a tendency to cut out. Still leery, I've been carrying a spare amp ever since... Over all the amp has been great--super convenient. I have not taken the time to download the app for the different tones, but have been enjoying the stock chorus on occasion. I've been using the amp for both my upright bass and my bass guitars and I'm happy with the sound, and am thrilled with the convenience! RAO

Best Bang For Your Buck
Did a lot of research on this amp when I made the decision to move to a lightweight rig, and TC Electronic seemed to be the best. Found out it was even better! This thing rocks! Being an old school bass player that’s always used some heavy equipment I was skeptical about this tiny lightweight amp, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at what this amp can do. It drives my 2 18” cabs like a champ, and can fit in my backpack at the end of a gig. The tone print is pretty cool, though not really practical in a live setting. The direct out with pre or post EQ option is great! Add in on board tuner with mute, and passive/active switch, this amp is well worth the price and more!

Great sounding Head!
Simplicity, TonePrint, weight, power - All great. But the real selling point is the tone. Set on flat through a 15” gives rich punchy goodness. Nailed it!

Perfect simplicity
I bought this amp as an Back up amp.. and I have to say It handles very well.. Iv'e used this amp head on a recent gig where they had an ampeg 6x10 ; I had the amp head on passive mode and it handled very well with much head room leftover. the tone print feature works great . I just wish they made 2 tone print spots on the head rather than one. but I love this gear!!!
