This is a darling dress and the 8-9Y fits my 8 year old perfectly. Really happy with this, especially for the price.

I bought two different sizes purposely. I thought I was giving myself a chance for my daughter to grow into one. The only difference in the sizes is the armpit/rib space. The length difference is too slight to be noticed.This could be a good thing too. If one of the colors is out of stock for these two sizes, now you know it doesn’t matter if you get next size.

I Primed this when my daughter needed something yellow to wear with 2 days notice. It's rather thin so I had her wear shorts under it and it arrived with a big stain on the shoulder that required a lot of scrubbing to get light enough for her not to notice. It was a cheap dress so I get what I paid for.

This checked off all the boxes on my daughters list of favorite things in the world.I bought a size bigger because we only have a little bit of warm weather left and wanted her to be able to wear it next year too. Because it is a size too big it does fit a little awkwardly (to my eyes) but she loves it anyway. I stitched it a little bit on either side towards the arm opening so it wouldn't gape so much and fit her a little more tightly. Width-wise it looks good now and I can just undo the stitch as she gets bigger.And if you cant sew then just use it during the Fall or Spring and put a light sweater over it. Length wise the hemline is a little too long but not terrible (I didn't want to sew that because I think the marks would stay on this fabric when I let it out in the future). The part that looks slightly awkward because of the sizing up I opted for is the waistline but again not terrible. The fabric is too busy for my personal taste but it is very very cute and my 6yr old loooooooves it. Every time she wears it we get stopped multiple times by people (kids and adults) commenting or asking about it. I was concerned about how the pattern would fall on the front but the seam is on the back where it should be and the pattern is appropriately placed so you clearly see the unicorn and flamingos etc. I would definitely purchase again.

This dress was a gift for my 11 year old granddaughter. She loves the dress and said it is very comfortable.

I like this but can't say I love it.. I have two 5 yr old grand daughters, they are both very slim and average height for being 5 and I bought this in size 5. When they came in they look more like a size 6 or even 7. As I said my girls are very slim for 5 yrs of age. Not something I would purchase again, but they will get good use as a daily type dress. It isn't something that I would have them where to a party, or an evening of dinner out.

Great dress! Soft and nice material. Just like T-shirt material. The only issue I could see some girls having is with the hole where they slip it over their head. It is not a stretchy material so it may be hard for them to slip on. There was a minor defect in the sewing. Small and hard to notice but you can tell in the picture. It was lifted and not sewn under like the first picture.
