I purchased this filter replacement for our Nordic Hot Tub and am glad I did because I shopped around at my local hot tub and pool shops and they want the exact same filter for twice the cost, so buying this online at half the cost is a no brainer. It was a perfect fit and I really did not realize how badly I needed to replace my filter until I put this one in and my water became crystal clear in less than 24 hours! My old filter was coming up on a year of usage with several cleanings within that time period and it was a PRB25 which means it has 25 foot of filtering material and this one is a PRB50 which means it has 50 foot of filtering material. It will be interesting to see how easy it will be to clean because there are twice as many folds in it, but I don't think it will be a problem because I always let my filters soak for 15 minutes in Muriatic acid which does all the hard work for me and then 15 minutes in a baking soda solution to neutralize the acid. Followed up with a thorough rinse with a hose which works WAY better than any of those milder filter cleaning chemicals out there. So, time will tell on the cleaning of it and I will update this review if there should be any problems in that area. Overall if your on the fence about going with the PRB25 or the PRB50, in my opinion spend a few extra bucks for the extra filtering.

I use my hot tub nearly every night. It is really important to me that the water stays clean and fresh all the time.I use this Pleatco filter which fits my spa perfectly under the leaf basket. I rinse my filter occasionally and change it every 3 months. It takes perhaps 60 seconds to lift out the old filter and install the new one, and I have clear, sparkling water whenever I use my tub!

If cleaned regularly these spa filters from Pleatco will last for years. I have been using them for many years and they filter debris and body scub very effectively.

My hot tub was given to me and before I got my hands on it, it was left alone and empty except for rain water and trash that sat in the bottom. Cleaning out the lines was extremely hard and time consuming. There was no way that I could clean it all out. This filter was one of the cheaper ones that I found on Amazon, so I figured that I would be replacing it soon. However I was wrong. In a matter of a week my spa was crystal clear and running perfectly. Every week I take it out and clean it and it looks brand new after every cleaning. It has been a month now and I know I should replace it soon, but it still works like it is brand new. I am ordering a few as back ups and I deffinately will replace in a month or so, but right now I am enjoying a beautiful crystal cleat spa and I have to note that I have four teenagers. three of them boys and there is a lot of traffic almost daily from several people.

Good replacement filter..!

I am ordering a second one because the first one outperforms the one my tub came with SIGNIFICANTLY. It is much heavier as well as larger, but still fits just fine. I bought my tub from Costco (a disappointing experience all around- it's not so much a good value as just plain cheap), it's a 450 gallon Paradise Evolution. When the water is balanced exactly the same, it is noticeably more clear when this filter is in vs the original. I got this one to swap in while the other was out for cleaning, but now with two of them, the original will be delegated to emergency backup. Great product!

I bought this when I did a search for the c-4950 filter - except this was $20 less. I compared the stated length and hole opening and the length was identical and the opening width was 1/16th of a inch wider. I put it in my spa and it fit fine. I've purchased more expensive filters with and without "anti bacterial coatings" and haven't been able to tell a difference in the spa probably because I just swap in a new filter regularly and the spa chemicals are there to kill the bacteria/virus and the filter to clean out the "gunk".The filter appears to be a well made filter with sturdy looking plastic ending rings and a plastic "holey" grid backing the filter medium which itself appears to be decent quality upon visual inspection. It was simply packaged in a very thin plastic wrap (within the amazon box of course) which was fine by me as anything more is likely just a waste.At $26 it makes it a no brainer choice if you replace filters more frequently.

This item is as good as what can be purchased at the local pool/spa store, and was 40% less expensive.

Packed with 'fins', good surface area, unlike another one bought a while ago which I didnt realise was much lighter, smaller area, than these, and the one that came with our tub.
