Not that cold and a very large unit
Did not get the water cold enough for the hassle of having one of these under your sink. It seemed to be a very small degrees cooler than room temp tap water even with the temperature turned to the coldest setting. I returned this for another unit that is giving me icy cold water. It is quiet.

It's great. As to noise
I bought one of these in March, 2015 but due to delays in my kitchen reno, it didn't get installed until April. It's great. As to noise, there's almost none. When the refrigeration unit is running, it makes barely more noise than our dishwasher, and our dishwasher is rated as the quietest on the market. On our old fridge, we had problems with the in-door water & ice dispenser, so our new fridge has an internal icemaker, but no water dispenser. I love being able to grab an insulated glass, scoop some ice out of the fridge and fill the glass w/ chilled water from the Polaria. A pic is attached. Our plumber did something I wouldn't have thought of had I installed it. Notice the chiller is attached to a piece of plywood, not the bottom of the cabinet. The plywood attaches to the bottom with Velcro. This means when it has to be removed, one doesn't have to fuss w/ mounting screws in hard to reach places.

I bought this product at a retail store pacific sales ...
I bought this product at a retail store pacific sales 3 months ago and after installation it worked for a day and then it did not work. I called the contact # that was on the label for repair call 800-942-1153. They kept forwarding me to next department and after a while someone took my information and said a technician will call me which never happened. A week later I called same number printed on the label and same problem. After several calls and messages I finally got hold of supervisor and she asked me to take the unit back to the place I bought from. When I took it to pacific sales they did not take it back because they required RA # from manufacturer..........and after a long chase finally returned the unit.I was told the repair contact # is not for residential units. Very confusing.
