I have now packed out two elk with these bags. We always cut the legs below the knee, so we haven't had any issues fitting quarters in them, and the one smaller bag is perfect for the tenderloins, backstraps, etc.

I got these bags a few weeks ago after wanting to upgrade from the cheesecloth type Alaska Game Bags. These are definitely worth the extra money. They are lighter and pack down tighter, dry out faster than cotton bags so your meat can stay clean, dry, and safe. If I was hunting in warmer weather I am sure these will be flies and dirt off the meat better than other cheese cloth type game bags. These are comparable to caribou game bags but I believe these are slightly smaller. I have the xl size and used them on a mule deer this weekend and had plenty of room. The xl size should fit good size elk quarters, but if you're planning to get something bigger like a Yukon Moose or something I would go with Caribou bags.They cleaned up really well too. I just turned them inside out and soaked them in a sink with cold water to get most of the blood out (drained and replaced the water twice) and machine washed them cold and air dried them and they look and feel as well as when I first got them. I'm sure these will be good for many many seasons of hunting. They are more expensive than the disposable or cheesecloth bags but it you hunt semi regularly these are well worth the investment.The carry bag it comes with is also nice, I can fit all 5 bags, the plastic sheet it comes with, a bag full of my tags, and a small gerber vital knife and gerber pack saw in it to keep all of my kill kit together. I have a fixed blade outdoor edge knife that I also use a lot while quartering but it does not fit in the little bag.

These game bags are perfect for deer, Elk, pronghorn and many other game that size. They dry fast and keep the meat clean and bug free. This is my second set, I like to have a second set when a friend need to use one.Draw string is strong enough to hang elk quarters from, you will get many uses from theses bags

Used these bags to haul an Elk out of the woods. They held up very nicely and worked exactly as I’d hoped.

Material and quality are both very nice. Can easily pack out elk quarters with thee bags and then wash and repeat. I just pack one back in with me when hunting and leave the rest at the truck or camp.

Bags worked perfect. Used once so far. Cleaned up easy. Fit a bull elk perfect. Very durable fabric. Very light weight.

This kit is great. These bags are lightweight enough that you can carry them with you in your pack all day and start bagging as soon as you make the kill. They're not as durable as some other heavy weight bags, but there's no way I'm carrying those with me. Relatives I was hunting with were very impressed with these as well compared to the old standard they had been used to.Buying another set (since a mouse got to one of them). Make sure to hang your bags!
