Easy to understand
Many tutorial books that aim to teach beginners how to use Photoshop exist, but few are as easy to follow as this gentle introduction. The step-by-step guidance you receive explains the process of achieving some exciting results in a detailed, yet concise fashion. This book won't make you a Photoshop pro, but it will provide you with skills that you can be proud to have, and that you can build upon. There are also helpful resources provided at the end of each chapter to help guide you to further exploration of the topic just covered.

errors, fluff, needs improvement!
I ordered this based on the quality of "Exploring Adobe InDesign" (Outstanding) and "Exploring Adobe Illustrator" (Pretty Good). This one doesn't measure up. It's a fairly short book to begin with and there are many pages of interview/profile stuff on creative professionals. What's worse. It's like nobody ever worked through the exercises and instructions to correct the several errors. It's confusing and frustrating. Then it seems to end before it even got started. Photoshop is a deep and complex application that can do so much. Fortunately there are many books on the subject. I recommend getting one of the others.

A good book for a class I took
I had taken Photoshop and this was required for the next class. I like how it help you keep up to date on your skills and if you didn't know about or use a feature from before, this book is a helpful reminder.
