Fantastic Cookware for the Price -- But like all things of quality, it needs to be taken care of.
I have owned All Clad cookware for nearly two decades but recently moved to Kauai, Hawaii and decided to sell everything I owned rather than pay exorbitant shipping fees. Not such a good idea in retrospect, but the point is that I needed to purchase new cookware when I arrived on the island. I bought one large Emeril non-stick pan to get me by temporarily and loved it. So when I saw that I could get a complete set for $200 with free Prime shipping, I jumped at the deal. I'm not going to say that it's as good as All Clad, but for the difference in price, I'm missing very little. I particularly love that All Clad continues to improve both their already excellent non-stick coating and the hard anodized finish. I'm very happy with the new set and I'm sure it will last me for many years, just like my All Clad, because I take care of all my cookware. However, there are many people out there who think they can just buy some good quality cookware and it should stand up to whatever they dish out (pun intended). That's not how it works. Even the most expensive and well-made automobiles will fail if they're not taken care of. I'm a hobbyist chef and I worked for Williams Sonoma for many years, so I know what I'm talking about. First and foremost: No aluminum-based cookware is made to be used on high heat. If you want to sear a steak, buy a cast iron pan. Emeril AC pans are made for use on medium to low heat. I've cooked just about anything and everything, including a lot of exotic food, and I cooked all of it on medium to low heat. If you regularly use high heat, sooner or later you will destroy your cookware--and your non-stick surface will be the first thing to fail. Second: Emeril AC cookware has metal handles for good reason. Many dishes are started on the cooktop, then moved to the oven for finishing. Metal handles hold up better than anything (including silicone) in the oven. Yes, the metal handles will sometimes get hot, even on the cooktop. That's what potholders and mitts are for. They're cheap on Amazon. Buy a bunch and keep them handy. And third--here's the one that's going to bug some people: Yes, Emeril AC is "dishwasher safe." That simple means it won't fall apart in the dishwasher if you feel you absolutely must use one. However, dishwashers damage to everything you put in them. Nothing washed regularly in a dishwasher will last anywhere near as long, or remain looking as good as items washed by hand. My review has already gotten too long to go into the details, but it comes down to three things: Water quality, heat, and movement. Despite All-Clad's insistence that their new Anodizing process holds up better to those problems, your anodized cookware will start to discolor over time when washed in a dishwasher. The non-stick surface will become less effective, and you will begin to notice nicks and scratches and little dents as time goes by. Finally, you can just ignore everything I've said and be prepared to simply go out and buy another set or replace individual pieces when you start to experience problems. But keep in mind that Emeril's lifetime warranty does not cover misuse and abuse, which is exactly what I've been describing. Personally, I'd rather just take care of my cookware from day one and not have to deal with the hassles.

Good for real life families on a budget.
Good value for a reasonable product. I feel like this product stands up well to other more expensive Brands I've owned. I researched pretty heavily before buying this product going to different department stores and feeling touching and comparing the Styles before ordering it. I feel that this that gave me the most value for my dollar and allows me to do my everyday cooking without feeling guilty that I don't have the time to take great care of my pots and pans. They've held up to the dishwasher pretty well and our abuse as we cook a lot at home. I feel that they are good quality for the everyday family that wants a little better cookware what is still affordable and guilt-free if it gets ruined. That's my keeping it real mom's perspective hope it helps.

LOVE Emeril cookware so we saw the photo showed a small pan with a pour lip so we purchased the set. Unfortunately the actual pan didn't have the pour lip so we returned it. Other than that, they looked great.

Great for small families
I am happy with the set, they are perfect for smaller families. The food comes out really nice. I have one complaint, the piece used to connect the handle to the frying pans is positioned in a way that food (especially eggs) stick to it and collects under it. You have to use a little effort to make sure they are clean and nothing is hiding underneath the bolt caps.

Feel a bit decieved!
Very deceptive. Makes one think this is the ALL CLAD quality cookware made and sold by the company in Canonsburg, PA. Once opened by my gift recipient we discovered it to be "Made in China". Too late now to break the news to my gift recipient that I thought this was USA made product. Guess I will have to be more careful in the future with my Amazon souces.

Hoping they will hold up fine.
These are a lot smaller than the regular cookware and of coz the straining lid and spout is missing. I still have to cook in them and put them in the dishwasher. Hoping they will hold up fine.

Decent set, small dent in one lid.
Came quickly, but one of the lids was dented. Didn't plan on sending back and the dent isn't that bad. Over all, I like the set. Wish there was a larger fry pan w/ lid. Speaking of Lids, they do get hot, but over all I do like these and would recommend.

Product is not as pictured on preview - no pour spouts and lids are not "straining" type. However, the handles DO NOT get hot, as other reviewers have said. Overall, very decent cookware for the price. We'll keep it as an everyday nonstick option.
