Review: Effective & attractive - It's been a dry April where I am, and I've only had one chance to try out this umbrella, but it worked great. Opens/closes easily and seems sturdy. The wind wasn't much the day I used it so I cannot comment on how windproof it is. I like the bright blue outside & while I don't think it is rated for SPF, the black interior means it should block a good deal of sun/UV if I use it on hotter days (as I sometimes am wont to do!). It is a little bulky when you close it up & wrap the tie around it, but not overly large. Shrinks down a bit when you put the sheath over it. Overall, quite pleased with this umbrella. Review: Nice size for a travel umbrella - This travel umbrella is great buts itโs not exactly windproof. I have used it for rain and in the sun and it held very good. On the windy days I have to let it down because it was almost taken away by the strong winds

Nice size for a travel umbrella
This travel umbrella is great buts itโs not exactly windproof. I have used it for rain and in the sun and it held very good. On the windy days I have to let it down because it was almost taken away by the strong winds

Basic but durable!
This umbrella does what it is supposed to do. It is made of durable fabric and durable plastic material. The button to open the umbrella is smooth and does its job. In terms of ease of use, you can easily open with one hand, which is important, although closing it takes both hands and a little bit of effort. You have to make one final tug to make the button click and secure the closing position. The umbrella is a compact size and lightweight. I like the color combo - blue on the outside, black on the inside. I have not tried it in heavy winds, but I can't imagine that it will hold up to strong winds, but the frame is strong enough that it should resist normal wind conditions.

overall, a good umbrella
Quite the snap when opening up - don't stand too close to anyone or anything when opening. First time I used this umbrella and it popped open, I told my husband I felt like it was a weapon in a James Bond movie :) Nice size, closes down well. I wish the push button also closed it, but you have to push it with your hand from the top towards the handle to close it. Getting it back in the little bag/holder can be cumbersome, but it is a nice to have for storage. The fabric is not too thin as some umbrellas can be - it's a nice weight.

A great little umbrella!
Overall I'm impressed with this little umbrella. Initially I had concerns about its construction and whether it could hold up to strong winds/rain. But recently I used it through a pretty windy storm and it did great! It's a little on the smaller side so cramming two people under it might be a stretch. But keeping this in the car for those unexpected spring time showers is perfect!

Not a bad compact umbrella, but hardly "windproof"
This is a fairly standard economy umbrella. When I read the description of "windproof" in the title I was hoping it would be one that would really be reinforced and able to withstand heavy winds. While I do see some evidence of slightly sturdier construction than other cheap umbrellas, bottom line is the parts and materials aren't all that much different than a standard umbrella. It flipped a few times recently on a day I didn't even thing was particularly windy. I don't have a great feeling that this would withstand more than 1 or 2 heavy storms. That said, as a day to day umbrella, it's not awful. The material is not quite the "thick fabric" that the product description says it is, but the black UV-filtering background does seem to do a fairly decent job of filtering out UV light if you want to use it for shade on a sunny day. And the spring mechanism that causes the umbrella to open and close is pretty powerful and impressive, as the video shows. Overall, for the price is not a bad umbrella, but like all sub-$20 umbrellas I'd go in assuming it's "disposable" and will last you a year or two at most before you have to get another one.

Decent, small and portable umbrella
This is a decent, small and portable umbrella that is easy to keep on hand in your vehicle or other places for where and when you want quick access to it. The pictures and description of the umbrella in the product information page are accurate, with a singular exception. My unit, the button on the handle does release the umbrella and it opens up nice and easily. But once opened, hitting the button again doesn't close it as the product info page would seems to indicate. It does release the tension on the umbrella, but it does not retract at all and it must be forcefully pushed back down until it locks into place. I'm fine with overlooking this as I like the nice compact size and at the just under $10 price point it is a pretty good value.

it's a decent umbrella
This was as expected, which is to say that I wasnt disappointed by anything. Maybe umbrellas should be more exciting, like a disco light-show inside when you open it. The mechanism works and the umbrella deploys in a mechanically confident and solid way. The fabric is black inside and blue (or your chosen color) on the outside. There was a bit of a smell - which was unexpected - but it was sealed in plastic so it just needs to air out. It's fine. I might get another.
