Excellent and very informative book, including some very impressive research.

Great present for my nephew

Fascinating book about WW1 British Trucks. Great for the historian and scale model maker. Fully illustrated with dozens of period photographs and numerous, long forgotten, facts about the early truck industry. To say this is a niche market is an understatement. The book is well bound with good quality paper. Some of the photographs are a bit grainy but considering their age and rarity this is not a bad thing. The only, to my mind, bad thing is the price. At nearly £60 the book is a bit overpriced. Therefore 4 stars and not 5.

An excellent book and one on a subject I've personally been looking forward to seeing covered for a long time, as previous to this there was no equivalent for British military vehicles of the First World War. The author has a strong knowledge on all the vehicles described and this clearly shows. The photographs are plentiful and reproduced beautifully, so the fine details can be seen very well. The photographs are not just of the vehicles themselves - in the vast majority of cases they are with the driver(s) as well, which in my opinion adds a heck of a lot to the character of the photograph, and indeed is the main reason the photographs were taken. A much neglected subject of the vehicles without which the war could not have been conducted. A must-buy whilst you can as I believe after this run it will not be reprinted
