This is a newer brand that is extremely popular with younger POC with curly hair. My teenage son actually found this brand. We started with one of the bundles they were promoting on their website. I am so glad I did. BASED is hands down the BEST brand for curly hair that I’ve tried and I’ve have literally tried EVERYTHING at my age. I was thrilled when Amazon started carrying it because shipping was taking 3-4 weeks. Amazon is either Prime or less than a week. If you’re just trying BASED out, start with the Curl Cream for sure. Then I would add the Curl Refresh Spray, and Hair Elixir, in that order. The mousse and leave in conditioner are good too, but not in the same way that these are. It's completely worth the hype and the wait. It says it’s a men’s product, but the smell is nice and neutral. It not too heavy and works so good. No more frizz… You will not be disappointed.

This curl cream is fantastic. It defines my curls perfectly and keeps them frizz-free all day without making my hair feel crunchy or stiff. It leaves a very natural, touchable texture and has a great, subtle scent. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their curls!

My son has very curly hair this cream is awesome, helps keep his curls intact with a natural look, does the work, maybe pricey but very worth it!

Great product. strengthens curls and reduces frizz. I loved the smell too with the santalwood. it doesn’t really moisturize though, you need the leave in conditioner for that.

Before I got this curl cream, I had Cantù. It gave me curls… But only for like a month or two. BASED curl cream makes your hair healthy with high effectiveness and longevity it is also very moisturizing and gives a great hold for curls I would HIGHLY recommend this if you have curly, coily, and pretty much any curly hair type.

After ordering this it took forever to arrive at my home. I didn't have the ability to use it right away due to it's late arrival date. This product is excuse my French "crap". Sorry, but it is. It smells good, but is basically water. I have curley hair and was expecting more out of the curl cream. While it says its local, it also says "made using globally sourced components" so not local. Okay. Anyway, if you have super short hair this may work for you.... anything past your ears or neckline ... just say no.

I have naturally curly hair and spent years trying product after product, only to end up disappointed. Most either left my hair frizzy, weighed it down, or made my curls feel stiff and crunchy. I finally found the one! This curl cream is everything I was looking for. It's free of harsh chemicals, keeps frizz under control, defines my curls beautifully, and leaves my hair incredibly soft and touchable. I almost didn't buy it because it's marketed for men, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. It works better than every curl product I've tried that was specifically made for women. A special thank you to all the moms who shared reviews about "borrowing" this from their sons. Your comments convinced me to give it a try, and now I'm adding my own review in hopes of helping someone else who's been searching for the perfect curl cream. This product is a keeper!
