I plan to keep it on the refrigerator for quick notes. Then I can bring it to my computer to review coupons online and add items from there. The completed list goes into my purse, and the pad goes back on the refrigerator. Neat!

The magnet came off of the back after only a week of use. Additionally the pen holder is only intended to hole the pen that it comes with.

I like the small size of this clipboard for notes. The pen is ok, and it holds in a clip on top, which is handy. It stayed stuck on the fridge for a few days, but suddenly-- it crashed to the floor :( The magnetic backing was still on the fridge, but the clipboard fell off of the backing. So, now I have to figure out what kind of glue to use to re-attach the magnetic backing. Not elmers glue...not tightbond....not hotglue....not superglue!!! So, what glue will stick to plastic and a magnetic backing??? How do I know?? UGGGH---guess I'll have to spend 8 dollars for some gorilla glue. Not happy...this kinda sucks.

Tired of those 4 X 9 inch shopping list pads with a barely adequate magnet to hold it on the frig door and no place to hang a pen? And have you noticed they are generally larger than you need and fall apart before you can ever reach the last sheet? This item corrects all those problems in duplicate. The 4 X 6 inch mini-clipboard's back is almost all magnet, with a strong clip that hold's the 3 X 5 inch supplied pad in place. A short gel-type pen is provided and held securely in the top-mounted holder, but if the ink runs out a standard gel pen fits snugly as a replacement. Bound pads with perforated tear-off tops are available as refills, but with this system you can cut up old semi-used printer paper and clip them in place if you like. The sheet size should be enough for most shopping trips, but you can tear off the sheet, turn it over and place it under the clip to double your writing area. With this 2-pack, I use one mini-clipboard for shopping and the other for general messages. I'm pretty sure they will last much longer than any of the old-style magnetic shopping list pads.
