This mug has a very rough surface and tastes like clay even after washing. The feeling reminds me of nails on a chalkboard - except it is my hand on a mug. This leads me to believe there is no finish or "glaze" which is a bit disappointing.

I love how this cup looks, and the seller packed it very well. However, the cup cracked when I filled it with steeping temperature water. No matter how good a cup looks, I cannot use a cup that cannot withstand the stress that normal usage. It broke the very first time I used it.

The surface is very rough, it is not possible to use it like this. I will return.

I bought this for a friend who recently lost her step-dad. She received it intact, on time, and absolutely treasured it. So thankful it arrived when it did!

Beautifully made well crafted mug. I love the glossy finish on the inside and the unglazed white ceramic on the top exterior.
