Nice Chest of Drawers
Great Price, Easy to put together, Looks Great
S**.
Was nervous at first, but it was the best decision!!
I bought this dresser for my teen as we were re-doing her room. We got it in the color white, so of course we could see imperfections very easily. I was a little disappointed as several boards arrived damaged. At first I was going to send the whole dresser back, but what a hassle that would be! Then, I thought I'd just deal with it, but decided to reach out to the company and inform them what boards were significantly damaged. (I planned to use the rest of the damaged boards as I didn't want to be too greedy and only cared about the ones with significant damage). The company immediately replied and sent out new boards! Unfortunately, there was some confusion and they sent the wrong size for 2 drawer faces. So, emailed them again and the new ones were on their way. Then, as I'm building it I made an error that I couldn't correct, so I reached out and a new board was on it's way within days!! Even though the dresser took a while to build because of the back and forth, I am SO grateful to this company! They never once hesitated on sending me replacement boards, they didn't ask for pictures of damages, and they worked as quickly as they could getting them out to me! The dresser looks great and is exactly as described. I will note that the bottom of one of the sides has started chipping already which makes me sad, but all in all I am pleased with my purchase. When I need another dresser I will absolutely look into this company again. If you are on the fence, just go for it! If there are damages, the company will make it right. The directions were easy to follow and I (a woman who doesn't know much about carpentry) put it together alone. It took a while and several breaks, but it couldn't have been easier. I had to laugh as my last package from this company came with some peanuts and I'm not talking about packing peanuts -- they must have gotten hungry fulfilling my order over and over again! haha!

You could MAKE a better one for the same price!
It works, it looks fine, its a dressor. If you are in college, living in an apartment in the city, or have absolutely no time on your hands I can see getting one of these... as long as you have about 3 hours to put it together -- and I say that being a craftsman who does everything from blacksmithing/armor smithing, leatherwork, and EVEN some carpentry. Carpentry you say? Why on Earth would you buy this excessivly heavy pain of particle board then? I'm knee deep in projects for clients and don't have the time to put together something for myself and I badly needed to free up space in my closet. So how about the review? If you owned legos as a kid you should have no problem putting this together. I did the entier project with a wretcheting screwdrive (wrench style, not the straight up and down "classic" screwdriver style). You can put most of the pieces in place with a little effort or by putting the pieces of "wood" together and smacking them with your palms. Of course you need to be incredibly careful as this is ALL particle board and thus will crumble and crack and fall to pieces if you so much as look at it wrong. This is why I would reccomend to anyone to just subtract a few hours of [insert streaming service here] time from your week, read an article online about how to DIY, and get too it. Of course Amazon should have no problem with this reccomendation as you will probably buy the tools you need from them anyway. Okay, it's crappy material, but it works well and still looks nice so you are going to buy it. What do you need to know? - Nothing is labled. This isn't a huge problem for MOST of the parts because they are pretty easy to make out with those wonderful peepers of yours. The part where you will get into a bit of trouble is with the little locking screw things. There are two different sizes the look almost exactly the same unless you put them next to eachother and of course they are all mixed up in a bag together with some pegs, nails and screws. Otherwise, look at the pictures and you will figure it out! - Unless you are really careful I don't reccomend using a screw gun to put most of the parts in place. Even though the holes are piloted they are often too small, so if you accidently put something in at an angle or try and screw it too fast you will tear up the particle board (you will probably do this a bit anyway. -The back doesn't have any finish on it so you have to put it up against a wall. Most people do anyway, but if you have a large room you want to divide up by running furnature across the center, this piece isn't going to work for that for this and the following reason. -Weight is not evenly distributed. It's top heavy - which is pretty dangerous if you don't do something about that. Hey American's (PSA) did you know you are statistically more likely to be crushed to death by your own furnature than to be killed by a terrorist (forgien or domestic)? They do give you ties and instructions on how to attach this to the studs in your walls. Since you will want to do that, you should probably also learn how to repair the drywall when you get ready to move... unless you own the place... in which my previous statement about building a lumber dressor stands. - They give you a marker... Since it is particle board the "wood" look "finish" on the outside is some kind of laminate nonsense that could easily scratch if you brush up against it with your lawnmower, practice HEMA in your bedroom, or are dating Edward Scissorhands, so they give you this cute little brown marker to touch up those horrible scratches that will inevitably show up. It's sort of a light mud brown which doesn't really match the finish but I suppose it will make your brain less likely to notice minor scratches than the unclored reflective scratches that might have developed during the shipping process (what this is actually meant for). Though if you recieve a damaged product you should totally just send it back! Final thoughts: - Is it a fine product if you can't/don't have the time to make one? Totally! - Is it quality furnature? Umm, no. Questions for mass manufacturers of these types of products: What is the most stable and highly saught after style of furnature in the world? Jointed wood furnature. How many materials are involved in jointed wood construction? 1? Really? Just wood? Why are people not selling jointed furnature kits!!

Garbage instructions. Cheap and unsafe construction. No rustic feel, just cheap.
Looked forever for a dresser, decent price and standard 5/6 drawers. Saw this and purchased. Did not realize it was just pegboard and not a sleek finish on inside of drawers (my fault). However, that does not make this โrusticโ it feels so cheap! One cam lock broke through the back of the dresser, so that was a thing. Itโs all around cheap, very easily breakable, and the instructions were GARBAGE. I did this with my sister, we have both put together multiple pieces of furniture and this company made it SO MUCH HARDER than any other one Iโve dealt with. The parts were separated by maybe 3 bags? So many screws/bolts/etc were thrown together. Back pieces, side pieces, bottom front piece, and middle shelving were NOT labeled so you have to just look at pictures and orientations to put it together correctly. The edges of the dresser are DANGEROUS!!!!! We moved the finished body from hard floor to carpet in the bedroom and ended up with a cut arm from moving it and the slightest friction caused a razor like cut across my sisters arm! I would have returned this garbage but I was just past the return window by the time I was ready to put it together. It will do its job, but this has been the worst furniture experience I have ever had. This is NOT for beginners, or assemble on your own friendly. I do NOT RECOMMEND. I have assembled my own dresser prior and had NONE of these issues!

Well designed and sturdy.
I have put together quite a few "furniture in a box" projects in my travels. I would have to rate my experience, with Prepac, as near the top of the list for quality, design, and sturdiness. The materials are solid and the finished piece is both impressive and attractive for the price point. The assembly, as with all "ship flat" furniture... is no walk in the park... but the instructions are clear and everything fits together perfectly. I would, highly, recommend 2 things for the assembly. An electric drill with a Philips head screwdriver bit... and an extra pair of hands. This can be done by yourself... without an electric drill... but plan on setting aside quite a chunk of time when doing it this way. The drill will cut your assembly time by 3/4... at least... and the extra pair of hands will help a great deal. Overall, I was very impressed with everything about this dresser. The only problem I encountered was that a few small pieces of hardware were missing... and one of the drawer face pieces was damaged a bit in shipping... but the company shipped out replacements right away.

Really Nice, Consumer Friendly
This is a really nice dresser. It is probably considered middle tier as far as the quality because it is not solid wood but it is also much nicer than the particleboard you might get at a discount furniture place. It takes quite a while to assemble, but I always find that dressers take quite a while. They can be a pain, but this particular dresser was very consumer friendly with its labels and instructions. For example, I believe that the most difficult part of assembling a dresser is constructing the drawers but with this particular product they have embossed Lโs and Rโs as well as color-coded wheels on the drawer parts. There are lots of little screws and a fair amount of steps involved, but the instructions and the organization were so much more efficient and direct than what I am used to. It feels sturdy and I think itโs absolutely beautiful to look at. The hardware is a nice quality and itโs easy to grip. The drawers glide smoothly. It has a great amount of storage. I am really happy with this dresser!

Itโs fine
I was looking for a dresser with particular dimensions and this was the best one I could find for face value. I ended up having it shipped to my work to avoid porch pirates at my home. (No one is going to be able to steal this from your porchโฆ) Turns out itโs shipped in a giant 92 pound box. My mistake for not looking at the weight beforehand! It took the delivery driver and their helper to get it in the building and me convincing a coworker to help me carry it to my car. After getting it home, I noticed straight out of the box that some of the front facing wooded pieces were chipped and dented. I went ahead and put it together regardless. (I can touch them up with paint later) The instructions were pretty straightforward. It calls for a flathead, Phillips, a hammer and recommends at least two people to assemble. I was able to assemble it myself but I would recommend getting an extra hand moving it if youโre not confident enough. I was able to knock it out in about an hour. The directions have all the parts labeled by letter but my parts were not labeled out of the box. If youโve ever put together a Lego set it shouldnโt be too hard to figure out though. Although I didnโt need them, most steps have a QR code to direct you to a how to video if need be. I would recommend using a drill for steps 19 and 20 if you have one on hand, if not I hope you appreciate a good forearm workout. All in all I would rate the build 2/5. For a novice or ill equipped builder I can see it being a bit tough. Quality wise, I would give it a 3/5. I do notice some gaps between the drawers but theyโre decently sized for storage. The chipping could be due to shipping but I do worry that it will easily chip over time. Also be warned, your home and whatever clothing you store are going to smell like wood for awhile. If you have the space/time to air it out it could help? To recap: Pros: - Sturdy. - Decent sized drawers. - Fit the space I needed it for perfectly. - Straight forward directions. - Comes with a tip over restraint to install. Cons: - No parts were labeled. - Heavy! (92 pounds in the box) - Some of the wooden parts arrived chipped or dented. (mostly the front facing ones) - Some steps towards the end of the instructions will require a drill. (even though it says screwdriver) - Noticeable gaps between drawers. - Long lasting wood smell.

Excellent quality
This product is better than expected. It looks and feels like a fine piece of furniture without the excess weight. The assembly directions were easy to follow. I unfortunately broke two fasteners during assembly. Prepac customer service was fantastic to work with and had two replacements on their way the very same day. All parts and many components, hardware, and fasteners were all included and all there. Nothing missing. It was packaged perfectly, protecting the finish. I would highly recommend this product and company.

Great dresser
This is a great budget dresser with no frills. One comment was mentioning warped rails which is not exactly true. They shapped the rails that way so it would slide in automatically after pushing the drawer. The rails are metallic and sturdy. The only platic piece are the wheels used by the rails which are fine. Honestly if you treat it right it can last you a lot time. My only problem was that assembeling took a while for me but I had never assembeled furniture before so that is probably why. And at some point they ask you to hammer some nails which was the hardest part for me so it would be great if those nails where replaced by some sort of screws. The delivery took a while and was delayed by 4 days. Which was another problem.

Perfect dresser!
I had mixed feelings after reading a few negative reviews but I'm glad I took a gamble on this. I don't like to buy furniture without seeing it in person but my current chest of drawers had been damaged and with no stores open at the time and Ikea charging close to $200 for delivery for the HEMNES chest, this seemed like the only option. It took about 2.5 hours to assemble but not because it was difficult, just tedious. I built it alone (mostly to prove a point) but if two people worked on it, it would take way less time. A power drill is also helpful for putting the backs of the drawers on, but it's not necessary. The drawer SLIDES are color-coded (Blue for left, Red for right) and the drawers SIDES also are labelled with the side they should be on. This saves a huge amount of time and stress and is a great feature. The drawer knobs are of an excellent quality as well. The unit itself is incredibly sturdy, well-made and quite heavy. If you're looking for a simple, attractive and well-made piece of bedroom furniture that is easily assembled- this is definitely it!!

The ladyfriend loved it
All assembled, all is well. The dye marker for any damages is really nice and the packaging was awesome. The assembling was not that difficult, but of course took some figuring out. If I had any complaint it was that the packages of bits and pieces for assembling was all loose, so I had to fish out the exact pieces I was looking for. Minor complaint. If I was doing this for a living it would be annoying but doing it once is no problem at all. Once assembled, very sturdy and looks very nice. Would definitely recommend to a friend!
