Awesome quality! Exactly what I needed for my lanyard
I bought a One Tigris ID badge holder that uses 550 paracord for the neck lanyard, but it had an ugly knot-end with a lace lock which sticks out the back of my shirt. I found these pop barrels which worked perfectly, both from a safety perspective (breaks away if the lanyard gets caught) as well as aesthetics (tucks/flows with my collared shirts). I had a hard time figuring out how to "knot" the ends of the 550 paracord until I found a YouTube video where the person said to melt the ends (like I normally do) but to stamp the ends in order to mushroom the ends. This mushroom allows for the paracord to stay within the pop barrels. It also allows for breakaway in case of emergency but is strong enough to stay put. I wish I had discovered this lanyard/ID and pop barrel setup 15 years ago.

Works as intended
Overall meets my need just fine. Got these to update some badge lanyards to breakaway for some family members.Good:Functions as intended. Some force required, but definitely not going to cause a safety concern if a lanyard gets pulled.Bad:Not really bad per say, but some of the connectors were partially unfinished and required some light sanding to get rid of sharp edges/burs along seams.

Pro tip
There's not enough space for a full knot to hold this connector on the paracord. After threading your paracord, pull out the inner paracord strands out of the outer shell and tie a knot with them only (not the outer sheath). Pull the sheath back over the knot and trim as needed and then melt the end just little. The smaller knot inside the outer sheath will hold the connector perfectly.

Great product! Great price!
It does exactly what it says it will do. Under the right amount of pressure, it'll breakaway. FYI - 550 paracord might be a bit too thick to fit through the holes, but if you pull out about 1-2 inches of the inner strands, the casing will be hollow enough to fit through.

Won’t attach
Had to use glue to attach to my square braid paracord necklace for my grandson. The hole is just too big on one end. I’ve had to repair it numerous times.

Just the right amount of force required for emergency break away clasps.
I was looking for a solution for breakaways on a paracord necklace. While I ended up going a different route these would have also worked perfectly. The inner diameter barely allows 550 paracord through. Tying a knot inside the barrel was a problem, but since they fit so snugly, melting the end of the cord provided a secure enough attachment that I couldn't physically slip the barrels off the cord. They snap together under medium to heavy force, and require a lot of force to disconnect. Under body weight or hard pulling they will disconnect, making them just right to retain whatever is on your necklace or lanyard while breaking away before providing a strangulation or other type of hazard.

Very strong clasp. Doesn’t breakaway easy to fix that I just take a file from my multitool and file all around the edge of the lip until I get my desired breakaway strength. Takes a little time but works well. Sandpaper would probably work as well.
