Really reduces thread breakage
Learned about this product from Eric Drexler, Sulky's head of education, in one of his quilting classes. He swears by it, and now so do I. One drop rubbed on the machine needle before free motion quilting is magic! Can also rub a line down the thread spool/ cone. Has cut the incidence of thread breakage to near zero on both my domestic and long arm machines. No residue on fabric.

Works for sequin material, embroidery and mini blinds!
I bought Sewer's Aid last year in an attempt to preserve the sanity in our household. We were sewing sequined scarves for holiday gifts and when the thread wasn't breaking, the needle was. After some searching on the internet I found that our problem likely started with adhesive buildup from the fabric which had glued sequins on it. Sewer's Aid was recommended by one article so I promptly bought some on Amazon. An occasional drop on the needle and a more frequent drop on the thread spool and the project was one we could finish. I've also found that it works beautifully on embroidery, especially with metallic thread. I have the Brother SE400 which does not have a variable speed control for embroidery which makes metallic thread even more prone to breakage. A frequent application of a bit of Sewer's Aid, while it did not prevent every break it did reduce it to about 4 breaks in 3000 stitches. It also prevented the thread from tangling/nesting underneath the fabric.I recently asked at my local sewing store (where they sell a LOT of high end embroidery machines) what they used to prevent thread breakage. They handed me a product from the back shelf and told me how wonderfully it worked on everything, including stubborn door locks. I decided to try their product and bought a bottle to take home. I opened the bottle and took a sniff and immediately got a whiff that reminded me of good old WD 40. I decided to use unbleached muslin to test it's non-staining qualities side by side with Sewer's Aid. Both liquids looked clear when I applied them to the cloth. The sewers aid disappeared completely after it dried but the other product left a slightly darkened spot.A bit later I decided to try Sewer's Aid on a non-sewing or embroidery task. I have two sets of mini blinds in my house that have never gone up or down without a struggle and I've often been afraid my superhuman strength would tear them off the wall during the raising or lowering process. I put two drops of Sewer's Aid on the cords near the metal gears and after raising and lowering the blinds gently an inch or two they were able to go up and down all the way with ease. I understand, in hindsight, I probably could have achieved the same result years ago using WD 40. This is better because there is no petroleum smell and no stains! I truly love this product and have purchased several as gifts for the ladies at the sewing store in hopes they will begin to carry it locally.

Product survived the post office
It was packaged in a small padded manilla envelope. Product was on a card covered w/plastic. Thanks to the plastic the bottled was undamaged as the post office did it's best to destroy the envelope and the cardboard backing. The lubricant is just as advertised and was undamaged

Wow! Already
I used this Collins Sewers Aid Lube 'thread slicker-upper' on my Brother Embroidery machine. It was TOO GOOD. The machine kept saying the top thread needed re-do.I then tried it on my Singer sewing machine. That's where the Wow! comes from. The machine loves having slicker thread and has no trouble. I did not put it on the thread spool, I taped a small cotton pad after the spool and added a few drops. As the thread goes over the pad it gets 'slickered'. Great.I also had some blinds that wouldn't go up and down very well. The cord kept getting stuck. After a few drops of Collins Sewers Aid Lube they work better than new. This stuff works extremely well. at times too well. I would much rather it work too well than not work at all. I will continue use and highly recommend to any one who has uses for it.

Great product for machine emboidery to help with thread breakage issues!
This product was used to help embroidery thread move through machine more easily. I had been having some difficulty with thread breaks as well as causing problems moving through the thread guides. The Sewer's Aid helps to keep the thread moving smoothly and has greatly reduced the thread breakage. I would highly recommend this product for use with multineedle embroidery machines.

Get it while you can
This is the second bottle of sewers aid iv bought, and I bought this one as a spare just incase I can’t get any in the future, you only need the tiniest drop of it, about the size of a pin head, if it’s a normal size cotton then il use one drop but if it’s an over locker cone then il use about four of them, just let it soak into the cotton and when you next sew you’ll see and feel the difference of the thread going through the machine

Works reasonably well
I've been using this when I am handsewing - helps to stop knots and tangles. Convenient just to put some on your fingertips then run the thread through
