not for Playbook, not sure about other tablets
I have purchased GoSmart stylus after carefull study of many reviews.I do like the design. I confirm that it's easy to see where you point your stylus. It feels OK in my hand. However, unfortunately, I found very little practical use for it.I tried it on 3 devices:1. Blackberry Playbook (no screen protector), 4 applications.Painting/drawing - so-so, as long as you use thick brush size and move slow. If you pick up fine brush and do fast strokes, results are less satisfactory.Handwriting - almost useless. You can handwrite only if you do it slowly and not lifting up (ironically, instructions on the box DO recommend to lift up between letters). I tried hard in different ways, at different angles, but I was not able to write even one short sentence nicely. The problem is that you can maintain acceptable angle and pressure level only keeping the stylus in contact with the screen and writing continuosly. As soon as the contact is lost, you can not find "right" angle immediately and instead, for example, a line you get a number of dots. That makes it very difficult to write numbers as in mathematical work and in most handwriting overall.2. Sony Tablet S (with screen protector), 2 applications.Well, this is probably due screen protector, but it does not work AT ALL. Even single line can not be drawn, I can get just dots.3. HP TouchPad (no screen protector). 1 application.Surpisingly, it works better on this discontinued tablet. But it's far from perfect. You still need to keep it pressed to the screen without lifting up. However, I did better on Touchpad, than on other tablets. Is it just for iPads? Or does it require specific applications? Or my device is faulty? I don't know.Update:Have tried this stylus on several Android devices more. It worked the best on Motorola Defy XT (no screen protector, Genial Writing). But I didn't need a stylus on 3.5" screen and I remained not happy with its performance on screens of tablets. The product was returned to Amazon.

This stylus is absolutely the best I have ever used!
This stylus is absolutely the best I have ever used. I bought it because I play DrawSomething 2, but now I use it for everything. The biggest selling point for me was that the tip was out of the way so that I could see exactly what I was doing without my finger or a rubber tip being in the way. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because while it worked great on my Samsung Galaxy S II phone, it doesn't work for me on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. And also because you get these tiny miniscule scratches. Granted, you can only see them when you have the light reflecting off the screen, and it doesn't affect the use of it... but I'm just a bit OCD and don't like seeing them there. However, the trade-off for me of being able to draw like I want is well worth it!

Great, as long as you don't have a screen protector
If you're looking for a stylus for writing, this is the one. While the head is slightly larger than that of the Adonit Jot Pro, the fact that it doesn't swivel and needs essentially no pressure to write (and doesn't suffer from Adonit's quality control issues) makes it exceedingly precise on my Surface RT. The weight of the stylus is very similar to that of a pen and the simple design -- including, thank goodness, a clip -- means it doesn't stand out, roll around on a desk, or go flying out of your pocket at an inopportune moment. The only downside to this stylus is that it doesn't really work at all with screen protectors, at least on the Surface RT. Put any screen protector on and it skips so badly that it essentially doesn't write at all. On the plus side, the skeletal design of the head combined with the nonexistent writing pressure makes it a lot less likely to scratch the screen. Between that and the Teflon coating, I feel confident in using it without a screen protector.

I like it, but it feels unnatural.
I like this but don't love it. While it by far the most accurate stylus I've used, it still doesn't feel like using a pen. The tip looks and feels fragile. I find myself thinking about whether I might be pushing to hard on it bad possibly damaging the tip. Of course there is the matter of first orienting the the plane of the tip with the plane of the LCD. How may times have you had to do this with a conventional pen (unless you are using some form of inkwell pen). It just isn't a natural experience for me.

Just what I needed
I'm no artist - not even my best efforts would make Picasso even tremble in his grave, though he might mumble an expletive or two. But I'm a decent tracer and a fine-line stylus like this GoSmart Pro has done a great job of helping me appear more artistic than I am. As for using it for more mundane tasks like taking notes, the Pro 201 also does a great job. The biggest adjustment really is for the user - it takes some time and a little patience to get used to using it properly, but when you take your time, it pays off. The best advice is to remember that an iPad is not an actual piece of paper, nor is a stylus a real pen. But go slow, get accustomed to how they work together and in no time they end up being better than the real things.

I recommend this stylus to all those that want to take ...
Although the tip is fragile this works very well on the iPad. I recommend this stylus to all those that want to take notes on the iPad. I use it everyday! I would also recommend a screen protector, I'm not sure if it scratches the screen but protecting for like $10 is worth it. Only con is the frailness of the tip and the the expense of its replacements; you learn to treat this thing like newborn who has vertigo.

This is horrible horrible horrible product
This is horrible horrible horrible product. I read bad reviews before buying it, but still gave it a benefit of the doubt.First of all it scratched the plastic cover that i had on my iPad for protection. I was out of the country at that moment and by the time I have got a new cover the ipad screen already got scratched.Second its not sensitive at allcomplete waist of moneyusing bamboo stylus at the moment.
