Better than oem
I dare say these cartridges are better than Epson brand. They don't blotch like oem and are consistent. I'll be buying these from now on.

These are the skinny black, not the fat black.
While these DID fit my thin black ink cartridges they were not what I wanted to order. I wanted the FATTER black ink cartridge. I thought because these said XL that it was the fat one. I have since learned the thin black ink cartridge is called "Photo black" which these are, and the other black which is the same number is something different than Photo black.This is not necessarily the fault of the seller, rather the ink and printer company should have a better naming convention. But if the seller wants customers to really be happy, they should explicitly show what size these are in relation to a hand or something so you can gauge the scale.

These work well in my Epson XP-830 printer
I had been printing photos as well as general office printing with my Epson XP-830 printer, but kept having problems with the Epson Black ink cartridge leaving ink drops on my photo paper. Calls to Epson CS did not resolve this issue. They seemed uninterested. I ended up buying a Canon ix6820 printer and not only do I not have ink blotches on my photos, but the photo quality is incredible. with the Canon. I still have the Epson, but now it's only used for general office printing where a blotch on the paper isn't so important, not is the paper cost. For general office use, I love these cheaper ink cartridges and have completely switched from buying Epson cartridges to these lower priced ones.

Cartridges Produce Error Screen that cannot be overcome!!
I cannot get these to work with my Epson XP-830 Expression Premium printer. It produces an error screen: Ink cartridge is not recognized....etc. It appears after researching that I need to purchase an electronic "reset" unit to change parameters within the intrinsic electronics of the LD cartridge such that my printer is "fooled" into recognizing the LD cartridge as Epson. Since LD claims these work just fine as is this claim would appear to be misleading so I say "Caveat Emptor"... Buyer Beware! In the meantime I guess I'm out $20 and am NOT happy! :( :( :( Addendum: It appears I'm a victim of the Epson firmware update as well. If I had any idea this company was going to be greedy to this degree I would NEVER have bought the Epson!!

Love them to bits but don't like having to do a print head clean when I install.
I took notice of other reviews and despite my printer reminding me a few times a day that I have an upgrade available I have resisted updating because I know these cartridges won't work after that. I love them but I had trouble with a couple of replacements. Customer service was superb and sent me replacements for them. I don't print photos but I do print catalogs and brochures and the color is very good. Will continue to buy them as long as my printer cooperates. Just with they made replacements for my Canon printer too.
