Excellent TV โ Great Picture and Easy Setup
I am very happy with this TV. The picture quality is sharp, bright, and vibrant, making movies, sports, and streaming shows look fantastic. The sound quality is also better than expected for a TV in this price range. Setup was quick and easy, and connecting to Wi-Fi and streaming apps took only a few minutes. The remote is simple to use, and the smart TV features work smoothly. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality television.

Greatest Value Incredible Quality
I was getting by with a decade old Panasonic plasma TV, and in addition to noticing degradation with the screen image, I was astounded with how much heat it produced making it highly energy inefficient. Iโve always been a consumer of the higher-end brands because I feel like you โget what you pay forโ and based on my room and requirements I was ready to move forward with a high-end Sony Bravia. As they moved closer to the purchase, I noticed an inordinate number of negative reviews. This caused me to start again with my research and Hisense kept popping up. I recalled renting an Airbnb earlier in the year that had a high since flatscreen installed, and I was amazed by the picture clarity. I switched gears completely, and began looking at data from the Hisence mini LED and was amazed at the overwhelmingly positive reviews. The price was literally half of the set that I was looking at and I figured with purchasing through Amazon I would give it a try. To say I was impressed would be a gross understatement. The set is amazing. The picture quality is excellent. The remote is fantastic. Every part of it feels super high-end, except the price! My one and only complaint would have been the sound quality coming out of the built-in speakers. In the past, I have used $1000 plus Sonos units, but they tend to be glitchy. Upon further review, I found that Hi sense makes their own dedicated sound bar that comes with a subwoofer for a fraction of the price of anything else on the market. The set up an installation on both was beyond simple. The sound quality is excellent, and the consistency of operation is five star all the way.

Hisense is great after all.
Two weeks with this monster, and believe me, this 75" TV packs a wallop for its price. Just as good as an OLED, the picture is so clear and vibrant, the sound is 4.1.2 Ch Audio, but it's even better connected to a Dolby Atmos/DTS-X theater system. Overall, I never thought Hisense would be a match to my Sony 77" OLED (don't get me wrong, this is the best TV I've ever owned), and now I have the best of both worlds. I was amazed after seeing a 136" Hisense Micro- LED TV at Best Buy and the 100" at Costco. They blew my socks off, just as the Hisense 75" Mini-LED Google TV I just bought. AWESOME.

Peak of pre RGB mini-LED for the money period, still relevant on closeout in 2026
Amazing color, brightness and contrast for the price, you have to turn down brightness settings most of the time but if you like an insanely bright picture, the options are there for you. I was actually impressed with the black levels and as it uses a fairly higher end chip, the Google TV is snappy and responsive, like an add in streamer box with good processor and you can still sideload apps. 65" has over 3000 dimming zones and blooming is VERY limited. But seriously, once you dial in the picture, running HDR content is amazing, especially YouTube HDR test videos with high bitrate if you have Premium. Even those "too dark" Dolby Vision titles are now bright enough! Absolutely only downside is that the amount of settings and options can be overwhelming to some, as with most TV's out of the box pic is not accurate, you'll want to turn off most of the picture enhancement stuff and you can always web search "Hisense U8QG settings" to find the Rtings recommended settings.

DO NOT BUY HISENSE ONLY BUY SAMSUNG FOR A HIGHER DEFINITION CLEAR PICTURE
Hello and ALLERT!! If you are looking for a super clear picture DO MOT BUY THIS TV!!!!! Even though I purchased Hisenseโs top of there line 100 inch 4K tv I was very disappointed in the picture clarity. In sports when you would look at the players on the field they were blurry and lacked definition. I had a SAMSUNG 98 inch 4k tv that I was hoping this tv would replace! The 2 tv werenโt close!!!! BUY THE SAMSUNG EVERY TIME!!!!! The SAMSUNG picture is so much clearer and of a greater definition up close and also far away which is so important watching sports or racing. The Samsung is twice the price but WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT! Do not think for a second, as I mistakenly did that the Hisense will be as good!!!! It definitely is not! Like everything else in life YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Wiser words have never been spoken!!!!! Learn from my mistake! This mistake has cost me thousands of dollars as my Samsung tv was damaged moving it back into my main viewing room! I was so hopeful and so wanting to think that the HISENSE tv would have as good of a quality or better picture than my Samsung tv but I was sadly gravely mistaken!!!!! Also donโt believe any of the BS about the 5000 nits rating!!! On every level the Samsung tv has a much clearer higher definition picture for sure!!!! The above statements are solely based on my own real life experiences. Your might be different but I would highly doubt that. I have been loving super higher definitions for many many years now and have done tons of research and for my self I will only buy SAMSUNG TVS for the rest of my life!!!! They truly are by far the best quality pictures around!!!!

Love this TV, BUT
This TV exceeded my expectations for quality of picture AND sound. Picture is extremely bright, and the sound is the best I've heard from a TV (even so, I installed a good sound bar). I have turned down the brightness twice, as even in a bright room, it pops. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars, is that I can't turn it on with the remote. It worked for a few days, then I spent hours on the phone with their AI "person" trying various fixes, including new batteries, taking out the batteries and reinstalling them, and finally resetting the TV (had to put back all my settings). This worked for a few times, and then the same thing. I finally stumbled on a fix: if I hold down the on button and say Turn on TV, it goes on !! Anyway the TV is wonderful, with a great picture and sound, and it has loads of smart functions and built in apps. Highly recommend, but watch out for the remote on function.

Holds its own against the premium brands, and I got it on sale
I did a lot of homework before landing on the U8, and a few weeks in, I'm really happy with it. I waited to write this because I wanted to see if any issues would show up, and so far there's nothing major to report. A nice surprise up front: delivery to a specific room in my apartment was a free option, and you get to pick a delivery time window. I didn't end up using it this time, but a lot of brands charge for that, so it's good to have. I set the TV up myself. The base took me a few minutes longer than I'd like since you have to study the pictures and screw it together, but once you understand the steps it goes quickly. The TV itself was easy. Turned on, it's gorgeous. The colors and brightness really stand out. It's a very bright panel, which I love, and I've had zero reflection issues whether I'm watching in the dark or during the day. The sound is excellent too. You don't have to crank the volume to get real power behind it. Honestly, this holds its own against the premium brands I've owned. It runs Google TV, which I really like. The layout is clear and intuitive, it drops you back into the shows you were last watching in each app, and it has good recommendations. Gemini is built in, so you get an AI assistant for quick briefs, searches, and suggestions. As a Google person, it fits how I already think. One con worth mentioning: I've seen other reviews call it laggy or say it freezes. I wouldn't quite call it that. What actually happens is that when it wakes from sleep or screensaver mode, some of the show thumbnails on the home screen take a few seconds to fully load, and an app can occasionally be slow to open. If you give it a beat before clicking around, everything fills in fine. To me it reads like the operating system loading everything, kind of like a computer taking a moment to boot, rather than a hardware problem. The remote is great and it lights up in the dark if you pick it up, which is nice. You don't have to struggle to see the buttons if the room is dark. Beyond that, no complaints. Nothing has cut out, frozen, or stopped working. Picture is sharp, sound is great, and I caught it on sale, which was the icing on the cake. Very happy with this choice, and I'll update if anything changes down the line.

Pretty close to my 2011 vintage Samsung Plasma
This is my preliminary review - I will likely update once I have spent some time watching. TV arrived intact and I had no issues getting it installed and operating. It is heavy at about 137 pounds so you will need a heavy duty wall bracket if you plan to mount it on your wall. Right out of the box you will need to play with the settings to get it where you want it. For instance, mine was set to Zoom for some odd reason so the picture was cropped on all 4 sides and of course blown up a bit in size. I also turned the brightness down and contrast up but will likely play with these settings more or invest in a good calibration. I haven't yet had the time to find and explore all of the menus to adjust the picture but I am sure they are there somewhere...... Not much of an owner's manual or help with any of the configuration menus so you will be on your own there. The remote has a really good quality feel to it. I hear no noticeable buzz or noise from the set as others have complained about on various review sites. The sound quality from the built-in speakers is just OK. It sounds a little muffled in my room since the speaker is literally facing the wall (mine is hung on a wall) and the mounting bracket so it might sound better if you use the supplied stand instead of wall mounting. A sound bar or separate audio would be a good investment to get the best output. I like the simple thin black bezel and you really have to squint to read the Hisense logo on the front of the set. Haven't looked at the Google TV features and may not ever but they are there is anyone wants it. Picture quality is quite good and the side viewing angle is actually not terrible like some LCDs. If you have a wide room, it might not be the best but no LCD has a very good viewing angle (compared to plasma for instance). I have not seen any glare despite it being positioned between 2 side facing windows. When it is off, it does have a bit of a shiny surface but it doesn't appear to be an issue with the picture quality when on. My only negative of the set so far is that it has only 3 HDMI inputs. I really needed 1 more but I knew this going in so can't complain much.
