Great product.Great for the moeny. Actually better.Durable and dependable.Have caught any mice and field rats. Rats are very smart.Many of the other products were out witted by the field rats. Mice are dumb and more instinctual. Rats are very smart.I've caught at least 6. I haven't seen anymore.Highly recommend. Easy to set up and sensitive enough to catch small mice and engineered well enough to catch smart rats.

I had my doubts when I first got this trap when I saw the awkward Trigger Mechanism. It's very hard to find the sweet spot at first but once you mess with it for a few mins it's not really that bad.In the 2 weeks since we received the item I've trapped and relocated 3 nuisance squirrels that were finding their way into my attic. I've had 2 escapes (presumably because the squirrels tail got caught in the door and gave it opportunity to escape. I also noticed that if the squirrel is in there for a bit it might tip the cage over and get out that way.If you are the type that wants to trap animals humanely, this trap is great and doesn't hurt animals. Make sure to check your trap a few times a day, because the squirrel will freak out the more it's in thereband could either hurt itself or find a way to tip the trap and escape.If you have a squirrel that is on edge in the trap, cover it with a towel like you would a bird and it will calm right down.For the money I feel that this trap has more than paid for itself ALREADY.
