Great Purchase
Just had the living room repainted and didn't want to end up with lots of nail holes as we moved pictures around, so bought this picture hanging system, and am very happy with the purchase.I'm not that handy but it was easy to install: drilled the holes into my plaster walls 1/2" from the ceiling, pushed in the anchors, screwed in the screw, and snapped on the rails. Since we're hanging our own pics on canvas prints they're not very heavy so I only used 3 screws per rail instead of 4.I was a bit worried that the cords would not straighten out because of the light canvas prints but, as you can see in the picture, they straightened out right away. Now, when I want to change out a picture for a larger or smaller one and need to move it up or down, I'll be able to do it in a minute, and no more nail holes!I'm very happy with the purchase.

Effective and flexible hanging system. . .
but it seems too expensive for a rail plus two hangers. The rail seems to be to be obtrusive. Also, the rail can be mounted closer to the ceiling than the instructions say. It is very easy to hang pictures and move them laterally and vertically, however.

Excellent product
These are easy to install and look amazing. I was nervous when ordering, because I thought they might be hard to install. I would highly recommend this system.

Great concept, but is not what expected
The system concept is just what i was looking for, but the application really doesn't perform as expected. I am using the perlon cords and both style of hanger. Problem is the perlon is too stiff and the hangers are too big. If your goal is to have your frame lay flat against the wall, you will need to tape the perlon the wall behind your picture. Otherwise with the bulk of the hanger and the fact that the cord does not hold flat against the wall, the top of your picture frame is going to be at least 3/8" to 1/2" away from the wall, while the bottom is against the wall. Finished installation of your wall art does what you think, looks like art hanging from cords, not balance perpendicular to the floor.

Not for use in plaster masonry walls
This picture hanging set does not work on plaster finish masonry walls. The blind screw connection requires a very flat and straight line of screw fasteners to install the track- which is not possible with this system.

Not perfect, but does work
The system is useful and simple to install. The flexibility of being able to adjust the hanging cables to accommodate changing artwork is very helpful (my wife is a painter). That said, I will join other posters in saying that the screws included with the kit are very difficult to use. If Stas is going to use some obscure fastener, the least they can do is include a driver bit that will work with their hardware. Second, I purchased the pearl colored cords which are made from a polymer that takes a "set". The cords come coiled. Some of the canvas and frames that we are hanging are light (6x6" and 8x8") and not sufficiently heavy to fully extend the cord. The result is that the cords curl and bend unless we attach a heavy weight to the bottom to straighten them out and make them lay flat. So far, the cords have shown no inclination towards straightening out and when we remove the weight, they simply "sproing" back to the coiled form.

Made life easier
This was easy to install with just simple tools. We have plaster walls and now there is no more need to patch when we change art. The mono filament disappears into the color of the paint. Any coils in the mono filament went away as the wight and warmth of the house was applied. We bought extra zippers and cords to put up multi images. We also were able to add digital photo frames and images on them to the walls. Concluding that "She Who Must Be Obeyed." is very happy after much scepticism prior to install.

Great, flexible way to display photos
This is my third STAS minirail. The rail provides a flexible way to display your photos. After installation you may simply swap photo locations, move them up and down or left or right. They do not draw attention to themselves but let your photos shine.

Looks good when installed!
Easy to install. Cords are packed rolled up and retain a memory so light pictures may need to be weighted down to offset the residual curl.
