Excellent heavy duty ladder!
I bought this ladder to replace the wedding cake stairs we had in our above ground pool. I just did not like them but this ladder is the best! Putting it together was tough because the directions are absolutely horrible. I found some YouTube videos that were able to help but not 100%, but with a little bit of common sense it was not too bad to put together. Once it’s together and installed in the pool, it is excellent. I am so glad that I bought this latter. Do yourself a favor and take the time to put the sand in. We put it in with a funnel and used a rubber mallet to tap on the top to make sure all the sand settled, I think we got a lot more in that way. It has not one time time picked up in the pool. This was a great purchase and I would definitely recommend it. We had all size people using this, from kids to adults over 250 pounds. We have relatives between 70 and 80 years old that easily went in and out of the pool using the ladder without any difficulty at all. I would definitely buy this again, great price for a great purchase

Not durable.
Very easy to install unfortunately they are not very durable. Just installed them in June and we already have a crack in one of the handles. The stairs are not very stable and lift right out of the deck mounts every time someone comes out of the pool. Stairs shift all the time. The rods in the deck mounts went way into the handle and are no longer secured in the deck mounts. Had to use a butter, knife, and vise grips to get them out causing damage. Will be purchasing a different set of stairs for next season..

Sturdy
As many others have stated, the directions could've been better, but if you take your time and look at the photos, you'll be fine. I did not add sand to the uprights, as I don't want to take any chances of it escaping into my pool, because it's impossible to get it out of there if that happens. I did fill them with water and used a sandbag attached to the backside of the ladder on the swim barrier to anchor it down so it didn't float. Until I got that bag, I sat an old paint can filled with rocks on the top to keep it from floating up. If you know anything at all about science and pool ladders, they all float a bit unless secured somehow. Those is not a new thing. Overall, compared to the old ladder I had that was metal and plastic and not very stable, this one is so much widet and more stable. It made it much easier for my older relatives visiting from out of town to get in and out with ease. One other note, I have a 54" deep pool and the deck up to it is EXACTLY the same height as the pool rail, but I had to cut the pieces that go into the ladder and then into the brackets that get screwed down or the ladder would never have reached the ground inside the pool.

Why can't I assemble this?
Already had these pool steps for a number of years but after lots of usage they finally gave way. Bought another set recently and yet I was unable to assemble. Apparently, the pieces as shown in the picture and the instructions are different. One has holes. The other doesn't. Impossible to assemble after already putting everything else together. What a disappointment!

Disappointed in this Ladder. PLEASE READ!
Giving this Ladder 3 stars is a stretch. This is a long review but please read! First off, the listing description said this ladder had a weight capacity of up to 300-350Lbs. LIES. A family member that weighs maybe 200Lbs broke it and ripped the ladder step with the screw straight down both the support legs and bent one of the legs. The instruction manual from BlueWave says weight capacity is actually 250Lbs!! The plastic this ladder is made out of is pretty thin and even with my weight (128Lbs) the steps bowed slightly. I’ve found a fix for it so I didn’t have to return it. The support legs are hollow on the inside so I got some 1” pvc, cut them to length of the support legs and pushed them inside. I also got 2” #10 SS screws to secure the steps to the legs (they originally had 1” screws) I drilled an extra hole and secured another screw on both sides of the steps. With the PVC inside the legs and using the longer screws it has significantly strengthened this plastic ladder to actually accommodate someone over 250Lbs. Second thing, THIS LADDER WILL FLOAT. It has to be weighed down. If you’ve read this far, skip what instructions say on weighing it down. Just add the 1”PVC inside the legs and fill with water. I drilled 1/8” holes on the corner of every step to allow more water to fill and it sinks perfectly. It’s not heavy to pull out of the water either. Third thing, if you’re securing it to a deck I recommend setting it at the height you need (there is adjustable legs that attaches to the deck mounts) screw those in place!! If not when you step on the top step it will move and become wonky. Overall, I was thoroughly disappointed at the purchase of this ladder because of the quality and misleading description BUT because I was able to rectify the problems (by spending more money on it) I can say that it is an okay ladder and is perfect for what I need it for. If you weigh more than 200Lbs and want to save yourself the extra money and hassle I don’t recommend purchasing.

Wobbly unsafe pool ladder
Adjustment mechanisms wobble and are not sturdy, didn’t fit my pool, back support rubbed the side, I filled with sand they floated. We never got to use them cause they didn’t fit according to your specs y & description of your product were not accurate as stated. I would NOT recommend these steps. sadly disappointed to pay $186.83 for steps that are not well made. The load description is stated with 2 different loads-300# & 225#, not an issue for me. My pool is 52” your specs show up to 54”. Packed it back up and returned it. Do not buy is unsafe, did not fit even though my pool was well under the requirements. Too short and flimsy construction.

Just what we needed
Wife hated the laser that came with our pool so I built steps and got this. Litterally took me 20min to put together and was a no brainer. People who are leaving bad reviews for this must just be clueless in reading instructions or just pissed off they needed to use a drill to drill holes. This thing is solid and customizable to your pool/deck height, hence the reason the holes aren’t pre drilled. If they were pre drilled there would be extra holes you do t need which I guarantee would confuse half the people out there and they would be complaining about extra holes. So short and sweet the ladder is great quality, easy to put together and just as good as ladders 2-3 times as expensive. If your budget minded and need a ladder buy this one. If you don’t care how much you spend buy an expensive one, which is probably the same quality and the same difficulty to put together.

Good ladder, does what it's suppose to.
Instruction were not great but usable, you will need to pre drill holes, the instructions imply they are already there. Not super sturdy but definitely good enough. I filled it with pea gravel for weight, which is working well. I'm 185 lbs and I feel the steps are solid underfoot.

worst ladder ever.
This ladder is the worst. We used it one day and 2 of the steps broke. The max weight on it is a lie. Don’t but this of your looking for something over 200lbs. The ladder also says it’s good for 48 or 52 inch pools. Our was 48 and we had to Mcgyver it so it would fit. I do not recommend. Lost 200$ cause now in need to buy a new ladder. I’d give 0 stars but I can’t Would love for someone from the company to race out. But likely won’t happen. 0/10

Works well, I'm a heavy dude and holds up fine for me.
You'll want to get a bag of sand to fill the hand rails to hold it down in the pool or else it will float. Looks way better the the little ladder that comes with the pool and far more sturdy when climbing over the edge. I mounted mine on the deck I built beside the pool. Works great like that.
