Brass catcher
Very nice quality build. I like this much better then my Cadwell catcher. It’s more money, but we’ll worth it. You get what you pay for.

Best budget option
Best budget brass catch I tested. The mounting system on this is super low profile which makes things very easy regardless of what your setup is. I tried others and they would not work with a LPVO as the mounting system was too tall so you couldn't operate it, you could install it and never take it off, but that's it.This one on the other hand is exactly what you want. The way it attaches is just pushed in from the side so it should work with virtually any setup. Unsnapping the fabric from the metal top piece makes it fold up real nice to tuck away in a bag. When the brass catch isn't on the rifle (which is most of the time) the low profile mount this system uses pretty much disappears. No one has ever noticed it without me pointing it out, even when they are checking out my setup.I think most of us would only use the brass catch in certain situations (like shooting off a rest), but if you plan to use it in more active situations just be sure to realize the limitations of a brass catch. You have a bag full of lightweight brass next to where the bolt operates. So if you are planning on going from low ready, doing reloads, running/rolling around, etc... just know that the odds of brass ending up falling into the bolt and causing a malfunction are very high. Obviously not the end of the world, but it makes it so the thing that was supposed to make life easier (by making cleanup faster) is now making it so you have to take the time to clear malfunctions. Great if you want to practice clearing, but not going to be realistic as a quality of life thing on the range. So as long as you know that this is something to fit your needs (instead of say laying a big tarp out to catch brass in a larger area) then this particular one is definitely good to go and the best I found in the budget category.

Very good. Not perfect
I am,updating this review after use.I had to return the first one I received since it would not fit a standard rail. Too small,by at least 1 mm and it would need precise file work to get the angle correct for a perfect fit although filing the flat surface should have proven satisfactory. The second one I received was a perfect fit but took a bit of jiggling around.Very solid and snug fit so just be aware that you might need to totally remove the screw and the moveable piece to attach the mount.I like the fit and am more than willing to take a few extra moments installing and adjusting to,obtain a precise fit.The cons I see:The slot providing fore and aft adjustments is not full length which leads into the second con. This device interferes with the particular scope mount I use when the scope is mounted in the position I need and cannot be adjusted enough to mount behind the scope mount. There are many other mounts available as well as many sights and scopes so just pay attention.I doubt you can get brass hot enough to melt this material so I have to say this design is the best I have seen in that respect. The catcher is large enough that it held over 40 rounds. There was quite a lot of room left in the hopper so it should hold the claimed capacity. One case out of 60 fell out of the hopper while shooting. When I went to empty the hopper I managed to drop 2 cases. I think that may have tipped the hopper a bit counter clockwise since it was a bit snug .Over all, a very solid 4 and based o. What other brands I have seen, it is the best available I think. My AR flings brass quite far and I like the fact this prevents hot cases from going down someone's shirt 3 benches over as has happened before purchasing this.I,would give it a 5 except for 3 minor cons1. The first one I received just flat was made wrong.2. Dropping 1 case out while shooting is barely acceptable3. Price is just a bit high I think. I will make that judgement if I am,still, using this in 5 years

It's good as long as you don't run a big optic
It's okay, all of these shell catcher products seem to have various weaknesses depending on application. Overall it has a good opening size (many catchers are too narrow top to bottom). The downsides to this particular one are as follows:1) the design makes it very hard to see the action of the gun, so if you have an issue, jam etc. you have to remove the catcher to see what is happening, not a huge deal it's easy to remove. Catchers with mesh netting make it easier to see the action, see when they are getting full etc.2) The rail attachment is very thin, in that it will work where there's less room between the optic. However it's also very thin in spots and we've seen other reviews of that part failing. The aside nitpick to all of these rail mount catchers is most only include 1 mount, and spare mounts are $10-15. They should include more or they should be cheaper.3) Lack of forward/backward adjustability, the adjustment slot only goes half way across the catcher, it should extend the full length as some other catchers do. This is where the application matters, if you are running a tiny red dot or irons on an AR, it's not an issue but with any scope mount, esp. 1 piece mounts, there's not enough adjustment to place the rail mount at the front/rear of the scope mount and still get the catcher correctly positioned. It's not horrible but there are better more flexible options.

Works exactly as it should
This is a well made and durable brass catcher. I bought this one because I was looking for one that was rail mounted, easy to attach and remove and not going to melt (like some others) I’ve used it for a while now and can honestly say it’s brilliant. Once the mount is fitted to the rail, the fitting on the brass catcher can be adjusted to the correct position it can be easily attached before shooting. I mainly use it for my .22 AR as the brass just flies everywhere and this saves the hassle of cleaning up afterwards
