Incredible!
The media could not be loaded. The installation took about 2 hours total, even though I had no idea what I was doing prior. The online video was super helpful. The fit was perfect, and I've noticed that my car has more power when accelerating at high speeds/maintaining acceleration. The quality is incredible.Super awesome kit, it was a great experience overall!(The video I included shows how the intake performs at high speeds, my music is at about 50% volume for reference, the intake is a lot louder than in the video)

looks and sounds fantastic!
I spent some time looking around online for different ways to improve my 2011 Corolla S's performance (even if applying these changes resulted in an only marginal improvement), and across the board, a cold-air intake system showed up in every list. It was hard to ignore K&N's reputation and claim to offer "the world's best air filters," along with their guarantee of an increase in horsepower, and since buying and installing this air intake in my car about a month ago, I could not be happier with the results. The build quality of all of this intake's components is excellent, which is the first thing I noticed while unboxing everything. Immediately after installing it, I noticed a dramatic improvement in the engine's sound at higher revs (3k rpm and over), and my mileage has already gone up by nearly 2 mpg. Installation was fairly easy, even for someone who's a little less mechanically-minded than most guys who mod their cars (it took me close to 2hrs between removing the old assembly and mounting this new one into its place and starting the car up again). In terms of things I noticed once on the road, there is a pretty constant but still non-irritating droning sound if you're driving at speeds anything over 65mph and don't have any way of shifting into a higher gear, but you'd have a similar "problem" with larger engines at higher rpm's anyways, so I'm more than willing to put up with it.Overall, I have been very happy with the results that I've gotten since installing this air intake, and I've already had multiple people comment on how good it looks and sounds. Put the money and time into installing one in your car, and I'm willing to bet you'll have the same experience!

GREAT addition to your car!
As another review stated, there's not much of a difference noise-wise until you hit around 3.5k rpms. But once you do accelerate enough and hit that mark, the car does truly sound like a whole different car. The best part for me is that you can occasionally hear the intake suck in the air, which produces a very nice sound. Like others have said, the intake noise does make you want to speed. Installation wise, I wanted peace of mind and opted to pay a mechanic $80 dollars to install the intake instead of me doing it myself. I'm glad I did, even though I think i'm a pretty smart guy, and the intake does come with step by step instructions, there were several steps that the mechanic did that i knew i couldn't have done myself. In addition, he added several more of his own zip ties to various wires and tubes to make sure that everything was very sturdy. All in all, this is a great addition for anyone wanting to add something more to their car (the corolla can be a tad boring to drive after a while) without going overboard.

2009 Toyota Corolla
You notice at first that it is a bit louder than the stock, especially around 3-5 RPMs. I don't frequently get that big with the RPMs, but we recently went on a road trip after purchasing and installing it, there were plenty of hills and mountains on the trip. Our trip went through Las Vegas when it was 110, so any major gains in mpgs weren't't as noticeable due to the A/C being on full blast. Before the trip it was on for about 3 weeks and in the two tanks that were filled there was a noticeable 1.5mpg increase. I'm excited to see if there is more to notice after a longer period of use.The installation wasn't bad. I would consider myself to be pretty average as far as mechanical ability is concerned. Take the stock filter and assembly out and installing the k&n took me about 75 minutes. I thought the instructions were clear and understandable. So far I am enjoying the product and am happy with the purchase.

Do Not Buy
I bought this for my 2014 corolla s. This kit says it fits...which it does with some elbow grease and trying different things.Pros: Vehicle is much more responsive and there is noticeable improvement to power. Still too soon to say whether or not it improves gas mileage. Before i installed it i was at 36.5, ot dropped to 36.2 because I was driving terribly :DCons: Within 5 days of having the intake installed, my check engine light came on. I got error codes P0101 and P0164 (i think). It dealt with the mass airflow sensor. I called K&N and the representatives were very helpful and looked into the problems for me. Apparently those codes will be fixed if I used a different filter than what came with the kit. They sent it to me free of charge (still hasnt arrived as it was just sent yesterday or today).I will update to 5 stars when the filter arrives and the check engine light goes away. If they dont then I am rating 1 and getting my money back.*****EDIT*****The new filter seemed to work for a few days but the same old problem kept coming back. The technician at K&N suggested performing a field destory and allowing them to refund me. That is what I ended up doing. Prodcut wise, if you have a new vehicle and no one has tested it yet I would stay away (or do it if you want to chance it like I did). Customer service wise K&N is a great company and will give you no trouble when dealing with product issues. Unfortunately I am rating the product and not the company, hence the one star.
