Just moved to Hawaii and it's very expensive to ship things...I saw this set and was intrigued by the innovative way the knives fit into the round cylinder. And, they are black. Perfect for a modern kitchen or a small one in Hawaii. Very pleased with the set and the price. They feel good in my hands and cut nicely. Time will tell about the durability. But I have been very pleased with my Amazon products.

Knives are sharp, slick looking too. I use them for outdoor patio and they work well. The base is easy to use knives can easily be inserted into any slot. Cool design.

I just purchased this and after the first dishwasher wash, one of the blades on the knives chipped off in a few spots. Makes me sad that i no longer have a full set but the other blades on the other knives are just fine and sharp. All the other knives cut smooth and effortlessly. The container it comes in, is also space-saving and looks sleek and aesthetically pleasing to the eye on the kitchen counter.
