Some adhesive not on screen,
Some adhesives did not work. Some seem to work ok. Looks like a patch on the screen, but if it stays will be fine for me.

reasonable facsimile
Last summer my cat (who is front declawed) was sitting in my open window enjoying the weather. Another cat came up to the window from the outside and basically tried to start a fight with her, damaging the screen in the process. There were five small rips, the largest being almost as big as a quarter. I taped up the holes with regular tape ("hillbilly rigging" is what I call it) to prevent bugs from coming in. It's an embarrassing eyesore, so I called around to see about it being repaired before the warmer weather sets in. I found out that you can buy a repair kit and replace the entire screen yourself, but the advice I got from home repair stores was that it's not as easy as it sounds (and if I did it I doubt if it would turn out right anyway). A local hardware store could replace the screen, but they said that it could take 3 or 4 weeks to get it back, and it would cost around $30 or more. Myself and two other people tried to remove the screen to take it for repairs, but it was such a tight fit that we couldn't get it out without bending it so we gave up.Hence, I thought I would try this product. It worked as stated, and does look similar to the actual screen. However it's not a perfect solution because you can still tell it's a patch, so there is still a bit of an eyesore (but less so than just regular tape!). I only had to use 1 and a half pieces, so I still have extra in case they start to come loose. We haven't had alot of rain yet, so I suppose that will be the real test of it's staying power. In the meantime, I'm reasonably pleased with the results and feel that it's at least an improvement.

Slightly Different Than Description
I thought these would be the perfect option to fix a few small holes in our screens. While they do work well to cover the holes, they are very noticeable. When you prepare to apply the patch you remove the covering over the adhesive side. Once you do that you expose a clear, slightly shiny plastic that completely blocks the hole that you were trying to conceal. It serves its purpose but the patches stand out like a sore thumb. Depending on how picky you are about the looks of the screen then this might work for you. We decided to replace the screening in those sections of our screen room rather than see the tape over the little holes

like mine, is just a stop-gap measure until you ...
This does what it claims to do, but as others have probably commented, the adhesive is not conducive to airflow, and is conducive to attracting dust. Admittedly, I'm not sure how you would redesign this to avoid this.I think everyone will have different expectations about this product — If your expectation, like mine, is just a stop-gap measure until you can replace the scree, then I think you'll be relatively pleased with the performance. If you think that putting this patch on your torn screen and it will just magically disappear and you won't even be able tell there was ever any damage, then I don't think you'll be very happy with this. Good luck.Replacing a screen in a door is a relatively simple DIY project. This is a great solution to keep the bugs and no-see-ums out as an interim measure. My screen door is being shredded by my cat — when he wants to come back in the house at 5 in the morning, he thinks climbing the screen is a pretty good doorbell.

*UPDATE* money saver!!
12/13/2017 Update: I bought this THREE YEARS AGO. It is still holding up where I patched my screens. I have to face palm at all the negativity. This is only a $4 repair. All screens do not look alike or are made alike. For the price and fact that it’s held up since 2014 on screens in the rainforest with a heck of a lot of humidity, I have to give this product an additional star making it five. Buy a new screen if that’s what you want to do but for minor repairs, this has lasted beyond my expectations.————————————2014Great idea. Living part time in Panama, I'm constantly getting small tears in my screen Windows. This is a great way of saving money - not having to replace the screens (which are mandatory with the amount of mosquitos there).Worked well and easy to use. Depending on the size and location of the damage, this can be really noticeable or barely noticeable. But hey, it does the job well.

SCREENING PATCHES NECESSITY
This is an okay product, and does the job for small areas of torn screening. I will have to check to see if they come in a much larger size but for this line, I'm satisfied. They don't "show" up as a patch so that is a help, and the instructions to use two, back to back, is wise -- they adhere better that way.Update: I'm still very satisfied with this productNow, can anyone help me - please? I need these patches in larger sizes, because a Ferel cat tried to get onto my screened in porch, after my own feline, and tore a large hole in the screening. I cut out a jagged piece before I had the repair kit, and realized I could have joined the edges and repaired the hole if I had a patch large enough, which I don't.I've spent hours on this website trying to find "a larger than (3")" patch, and I cannot find anything. I only have the P8095, Monster tape,Duct Tape, and the 3"x3" patch (repair kit). One hole is about 6" across, plus a tear, etc. Someone help me out here, please. Thanks, all.

Works but doesn't look good
The media could not be loaded. This patch is really easy to use. Just peel off the adhesive backing and apply the patch over the tear. I bought these in an attempt to quickly repair the tears on my window screens. The package says it contains 5 patches but I actually received 7 in mine. These patches stick on really well. Even after a whole week of storms, the 2 patches I used on the window screens managed to stay on perfectly. My only complaint is that they're a bit of an eyesore. As you can see from the short video clip, the mesh on the patch doesn't match the mesh on the window screen so it sticks out like a bandaid. The product does state that you can trim the patch to fit your tear but that option doesn't look all that much better and in my opinion, applying a larger patch seems to do a better repair job over the hole and keeps the tear from further fraying.
