As described, and very nice darts

I love darts and I've been practicing every day for about 4 months now, with the goal of competing in my local league (as soon as they take new members in the fall). I've poured over dozens of sights, hours of youtube, and hundreds of reviews. This is about the 20th set I purchased, including the first dozen from sporting goods stores. My point is that these are by far the best for me. I struggle with finding consistent finger placement, but the intervals between grips and especially the frontal change of profile, make that consistency easy. I also struggled with the right weight. At first I read that generally professional male throwers use lighter darts. Then I found that most of the pros, especially those with my traditional grip, use barrells in the 21-26 gram range. My standing favorite darts were 23 grams so I went with these. I ditches the stock shaft and flights. They are nice but different than what I've practiced with. But the barrel and points are the best I own after spending hundreds on various weights, brands and profiles.

The media could not be loaded.  Darts to me are personal, everyone has their own preference, style and taste.Pros: The point and barrel are great feel good in my hands, weight is just right for me and the flights are OK. They fly great.Cons: The backend of the shaft that hold the flights on these darts don't hold up to punishment.I received these darts on Dec 26th and have played just about every day for 20 or 30 minutes. They fly great for me.

The ones I received did not look like the photo. But I will keep them for a gift to a fellow darter.

I like these darts... The reasons why I gave them 3 stars is because:1) The shafts are made of plastic and they easily break. (I literally split one on my third toss). I would recommend *aluminum* replacement shafts if you decide to get these. You will definitely need them2) They are tricky to throw for first timers. (May not be the case for everyone)... Im not an expert or anything but Im a decent player. I can throw a dart with a straight barrel just fine but the tear drop shape of these bastards made it very difficult to find that sweet spot on the grip.Those were my only 2 major complaints I had...Some other things to note when buying these:- Get durable extra flights- Get some rubber 2ba washers so the shafts dont come loose

I have several sets of darts in varying weights including Bottelsen, Harrows, Piranha. Prior to these my Piranha set from 20 years ago was my favorite. These Harrows Black Ice darts have excellent grips, fly stable, and are very accurate. I've read other reviews about the plastic shafts. The reality is that all shafts, even aluminum ones have the potential to get destroyed when a second dart hits them at the exact position. When I buy a new set of darts I typically buy two extra sets of shafts and flights.

The only reason I'm knocking a couple stars off is based on my personal preference of the grip. This one, to me, is the worst of the Black Ice series, even though I generally like the front-loaded shape. The dart performs fine, but I seem to get better results with the others (24g, 26g, etc.). I would buy one of those over this one.

These darts will likely help you throw better. They won't help you beat your friend at his place unless he isn't that good. You will be better, but will still be limited by your ability and practice. I would buy them again.
