ESV Scripture Journal: Matthew

I have a few different chapters of the Bible of this same scripture journal. I love that I can use these to read through the Bible a chapter at a time and take notes as I go along. It’s cool to look back and see what I wrote down in the journals at the time that I was reading through that chapter. I hope to one day have the different journals for every chapter of the Bible. I will definitely purchase again.

Our pastor is going through the book of Matthew and said it’s probably going to take 3-4 years because of all the breaks needed throughout the year with Christmas/Easter, etc. He recommended we use the same version throughout the study and to take notes. Well this little version is just the book of Matthew. The Scripture is only printed on the left side and then the right side is blank. I take a lot of notes in order to keep my focus and this gives me plenty of room. It also fits easily in my regular Bible’s cover.

Absolutely wonderful printing and so easy to read.

I have gifted it twice because it’s a great Bible book and journal for someone who may not know where to start reading!

I recently did a study of Matthew and it was the perfect journal for it.

I really enjoy these New Testament books/journals. Each page has its own note section, but it's also broken down well. I still recommend reading the King James version but this very helpful.

I feel that the actual book is better than I had expected it to be.

This is a great way to do a Bible study. One book is not as overwhelming as the whole Bible and wondering where to start. I would like to get the both OT and NT sets at some point as each book has a nice storage box to hold them (and cheaper to buy the set than individual books).

I have absolutely LOVED having this. It is great quality, and each day I just read and dig into one page during my quiet time. I make notes, underline interesting words and journal thoughts and insights without worrying about messing up my Bible. I am digging into the Word so much more and really engaging with it. The paper is thick and lovely to write on, and the ESV translation is fit for purpose. If you're on the fence - GO FOR IT! It's been fantastic and I recommend it to everyone!

These journals are a great idea and it would be perfect except I cannot condense my notes enough to make them fit on half the page (8-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches). I write more than the one page will hold and so for me it wasn't practical. I did give it away to someone who could use it and appreciated it.
