Q: Would work on the bottom of a toy chest to keep it from sliding on a hardwood floor? I need something fairly small in diameter. (5/8 thick wood).

They should work for that as they are small. Rubber should help it to not slide.

I'd have to measure, but I'd say about 1/4" thick

I don’t think so. The adhesive on the pads would not last long due to the fabric letting go of them. The pads are better intended to be used on a non-porous surface.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. The problem is there may not be enough room in the picture frame to insert the bumper.
