American Apparel Women Cotton Solid Thigh-High Socks

I was skeptical when these arrived for two reasons: 1, I didn't know if they'd fit. My thighs are huge. The widest part of my thighs chalks in at 27.5 inches, (an inch smaller than my waist!) and even my calves are big, the widest part being 16 inches. I'm also pretty short at 5'2" and have short legs.2, the packing looked suspiciously not from USA with a sticker on the back with Chinese characters on it.Otherwise, the material seemed nice and thick. They were also long. Really long. 37 inches long. Holding them up, they reached my hips. But I thought long was definitely better than short.The fit was what sold me. No mushroom thighs? No rolling down? You betcha. On my thick thighs, these socks held up well. They were so warm and comfortable and I love the knit. Not to mention, they're high! Most thigh highs have to settle on slightly above knee length on me because my thighs are just too big. But these came up so high and didn't cut in whatsoever. The stretch quality is something of magic. On my thighs the weave showed more skin through but that's to be expected if they're going to stretch.I am definitely needing to buy more.I'd recommend these for anyone with long legs or thick thighs who normally struggle finding a good fitting pair of thigh highs. These are the MVP of thigh high socks.

WOW! I am so impressed with these socks and with the company that shipped them out! First of all they arrived in three days, when the expected arrival time was 7-10 days. The socks are very thick and warm, super impressed with the quality of the fabric. I am 5'5" and 130 pounds and they ago all the way up under my butt. They stretch enough for you to pull them where you need to without worrying about them being see through, they are still extremely opaque. They also do not cut off the circulation of your thighs either, they are tight enough to not fall down but are still relaxed enough to not grip the skin and cause a mark.I am VERY excited to wear these to a concert in a few weeks, couldn't recommend these enough!!!!

Girlfriend absolutely loves them. They're super soft, very thick, and warm. Thankfully, her legs look great in them, as I'm anticipating her wearing them all the time. I'll probably surprise her with another pair or two.A lot of reviews were complaining about these not being good for thicker legs. You do not have to have twiggy legs to fit these. My girlfriend has slightly shorter, thicker legs and they fit like a glove with no muffin topping. If you're in the plus size column though, yeah I could see these being too small.

I just got these and I love them. I have thick thighs (30" around at the middle) and am 5'4". I wear a size 14. These are super long but I cuff them which keeps them from rolling down and also makes it so there's actually a gap of skin between the socks and my shorts otherwise they'd look like sweater tights. But I love them. Warm and comfy and cute and they actually get up to my thighs!! Most brands only come up barely past my knees or just short of them even when labeled thigh high. I'll be buying more colors.

These are snug and cozy, just like I had hoped they would be. I was worried that the top would create that muffin-top thing on my thigh, but the band is wide enough not really cause a problem. These socks are also very long, which leaves plenty of material to fold over if you want a more defined top band, or bunch up for a slouchy effect if you prefer. I do think that someone shorter than me may be turned off by the length, though. I'm 5'7" and these easily cover my entire upper thigh. If my pelvis was gone, I could probably pull them to the top of my hips. I love this quality, though, because I am always disappointed in the length (or lack there of) of thigh highs and over the knee socks and stockings. So far these socks have handled my cat, dogs, and camping trip without so much as a snag. Should these continue to withstand the wear and tear of regular use, I look forward to wearing them through winter and spring.

Comfortable is a fashion priority because if it's not comfortable, then I just won't wear it for longer than an hour. These are plenty of sock if you, like me, are a shorty. They go all the way up my thighs, and I am a curvy 27-year-old who is 5'3".Pros:- They keep your legs warm- They are thigh-high so if your guy is a leg man... need I say more?!- They are roomy- a lot of sock for curvy figures and great for keeping warm around the house or sitting and typingCons:- You will constantly be rolling them back up if you wear them out- The elastic at the top came free after the first washThey stay up fine over my leggings and up to my knees for wearing under boots and doing that layered look, but there is too much material to be bunched around your ankles and worn with flats- stick to boots. Hopefully this helps!

I simply love these socks. I bought them with some trepidation after viewing completely contradictory reviews (They stay up beautifully! They sag immediately!). But I opened them up and put them on with a skirt this morning. They pulled all the way up to the crease in my thigh and stayed there. All. Day. Long.I walked half a mile, mostly downhill, at a quick trot to catch a ferry. I sat in a car, I sat in a chair. I walked briskly back up the steep hill and down the other side. Sat on bleachers. Walked another brisk half mile uphill yet again. This fascinating recital of my day's activities is just to illustrate that they stayed put through a variety of exercises and movements. I'm curled up in my chair right now and they haven't budged an inch.They are thick and warm and a pretty color (royal purple). The heel of the sock slides halfway up my ankle but so do the heels of all my socks unless I buy in the children's department (small feet). I am 5'4" tall and neither thin nor fat... um, pleasingly plump? Anyway, I'm ordering three more in different colors as soon as I'm done with this review. I will probably wear one pair or the other every day this winter.
