I use this fire pit for camping. It is easy to set up, take down, and it nest together in a carry bag which fits great in my RV. The locking motion of the handles that secures the top and bottom together was odd at first, but now I'm used to it and I don't think twice about it. Once the pit get hot and you burn the proper size wood (wood that fits inside the pit) it works great and smokes a lot less. Even after hours if burning the handles stay cool and you can move the pit if needed. The added grill grate is handy for some open fire cooking.

Finally had a chance to try it out, and I have to say this is an impressive product at a worthwhile price. I've used a friends solo stove of comparable price and the difference between these two is staggering. This Fire Pit is way better. It is a thoughtfully designed version. It's like they gave their engineers a bigger budget than marketing. The Reasons I say this are: Cleaning: The fire pan lifts out easily and dumps straight into a standard trash bags. Storage/Portability: It breaks down well and includes a storage bag so you can actually travel with it. No mess, no fuss. Clean Burn: The smokeless design burns everything down to a fine ash. Feature Rich, no nickel and dime'ing for stands, bags, other tools. The Handles are useful, has cooking grate and tool for working with it while hot. The integrated stand doesn't let it burn grass. The only thing it needs to be perfect is a mesh lid for when it's time to go to bed or you're somewhere that requires a spark arrest for any fire pits. This is what a Solo Fire Pit should be, for less than half the price.

This fire pit is awesome! No its not 100% smokeless. If you want that then dont burn wood! Here's what you should know. The latches won't latch to keep the top and bottom secured together, but its really not a big deal. When you need to move it you can use the handles and the pit will stay together as long as you're easy with it. If you're buying wood from the store thats already cut and split you'd be be better off with the 21" I think. As long as the burning wood is below the ring of cut out circles at the top of pit, you won't get a lot of smoke, this is how these fire pits are designed. The poker that comes with the pit is perfect because you can use it to lift out ash pan in the bottom, the two prongs will fit through two of the holes in the center of the bottom and you can lift out your ash without having to get your hands dirty, which is nice. The grill works well too. The legs lock in place, and I have mine sitting on a wooden deck, the pit is elevated just enough to keep the deck from getting burned, but i did buy a round fire mat after a couple uses, just in case. I love how efficiently this thing burns wood!!! Alot of times I dont use the ring that goes on top because it just gets in the way of loading wood and stoking the fire. The storage/transport cover is nice too! The inside will rust a little but who cares, its a fire pit, it aint meant to look like a shiny nickel. Ive burned many a fire in mine and wanted to wait to give my honest feedback! Make sure you dump the ashes after every use because the holes below the ash is how the fire breathes.

Easy to setup and use. Works great. No smoke. Easy to clean. Great that is has a grill top so you can cook on it. Strong cover and the product is made well.

I got this for $89 so my review is based on that price. I have an expensive brand burner like this. But it was iced in and I was heading for a week event with outdoor socializing. and while enroute I was called and asked specifically not to forget the fire pit. I stopped at a rest stop and ordered this for delivery to where I was staying the day before the event. I glanced at some reviews, but was mainly concerned with fast delivery, so I picked this. It works great. Quick setup. Burns good and fire lighted quickly with a fire starter cube. The stove burnt the wood to absolute ash. It seems durable and well made. For my use it will be perfect for 6 evenings of 6-7 hours burn that I need it for and I’ll gift it so I don’t have to haul it home. I expect it will be usable for quite a while if minimally cared for

We got this firepit to take on our RV camping trips and we absolutely love it. It has really made our evenings around the campfire warm and memorable. It burns efficiently leaving only fine ash and compacts for easy transport. Highly recommend. We haven't tried using it as a charcoal grill but we'll do that on our next trip out.

Works like a gem! Considering it’s on the smaller size the output of heat is incredible. It’s light enough to move easily and it comes with more accessories than I expected. The cooking grate makes it easy to cook kabobs or burgers. I’ve had this guy for about a year and even with all the uses and rain, on the Oregon coast, it has still stood up. No rust or signs of it degrading. I’d recommend!

Great portable fireplace. I used this on a ice fishing camping trip and I was very happy with how small it compacts to. I was able to put full-sized logs in it and had a fire going for the better part of 3 days and there is little to no discoloration of the metal. I also really liked that it came with the grill and was able to cook steak tips and chicken tips no problem. I tossed this fire place in my truck and in a sled and it still looks great and seems to be very durable for transportation. Lastly the design on the collapsible feet are great and using a solid push in pin to keep everything tight. As far as smokeless it was pretty good and the bottom vents I think allow the fire to burn hotter which knocks down the smoke, theres still smoke but its not smoking you out. I highly recommend this for any outdoor use whether its for camping or leaving it on your patio.

Prices locally went mad recently with shipping costs, so I didn't need one that is collapsible for camping but it was considerably cheaper for me. That In mind, this is considerably better than a normal firepit and is definitely low smoke. Time will tell if it survives the elements but it comes with a cover so that is good. Personally in my fixed use I'd prefer one which can control the airflow for burn rate as this thing wants to run very hot and consumes wood quickly.
