Faber Castell Set of 12 Polychromos Artists Pastels.

Amazed how quickly these arrived using prime, but they came from one side of the country to another. These come in a tin, one layer, protected with a sheet of sponge and in pristine condition - not one broken, cracked, chipped or flaked. The colors are even, meaning one end isn't faded and the other end alright as some have complained about another brand. If you put all the effort one does in their work, the last thing you want is fading.Very pleased.

I got these to replace the Nupastels I've been using to start, under draw my pastel paintings. I realized that Nu pastels are not colorfast and so wanted to upgrade. The Polychromos 60 were more expensive than the Nupastels sets but well worth it. Lovely, intense colors and less chalky than Nu pastels. A nice tin box too which is good for travel. The selection is good- could use more grays.I'd highly recommend it- actually I wanted to order the 120 set but searched everywhere and no one had it in stock.

Just love everything Faber Castell! I have these "hard pastels", as well as the set of POlychoromos Coloured Pencils, and some Pitt Artist Pens, as well as the set of Pitt Pastels. I have NEVER been disappointed in ANYTHING from this company-they are very high quality and you will be very happy.. True-they are a bit more expensive-but well worth it!

The item contents were in perfect state. However, the box had scuff marks and dry water stains. This was a gift and because of the box, the item looked old and used. I would have returned it, but I had to give the present as it was.

I got the set of 60 from CrushOn and it was an older set of 60 (when Faber Castell still made 120 colors of Polychromos Pastels). This set had 25 colors that are not in the new set of 60 colors. When Faber Castell discontinued the 120 color line, they redid the colors in the 60 color set, so note that the UPC is still the same whether old or new set. I also got the set from A.I.Friedman which was the new set of 60 colors. This gives me a total of 85 of the colors from the 120 original colors made. Both have a great selection of colors. The new set contains silver, gold, and copper colors. So glad I got both to go with the 60 PITT Pastel pencils I have.

I use these for art projects. They are beautifully pigmented and match my other Faber Castell watercolor pencils and colored pencils, which I really like.

Very nice colors to compliment the Faber-Castell pastel pencil set. Good service from seller arrived in perfect condition.These are hard pastels, so they do not blend easily like softer ones. But also they are dust free! Use these for the underdrawing/painting stage.

Pastels are fantastic, but package arrived with four already broken in half. Which, realistically, that's gonna happen eventually, they're pastels. But I'd like a $100 product to show up intact. =-/
