Decent lamp at a reasonable price. Quality appears good.
At first we though the conical corn light would not shine enough of the their light output onto our work surfaces. We ordered a couple and tested them, finding that they in fact do work. When 16 or so were installed and light measured at the work surface we were surprised and pleased. We use them in a manufacturing facility, where light is very important. They certainly beat the metal halide lights that are being replaced, especially for reliability, economy in electric usage and labor savings and safety (encountered when constantly replacing lamps on a high ladder) as compared to the metal halide lamps. They produce less heat and make a far better light that does not 'yellow out' after awhile like the metal halides. We definitely recommend these 80 Watt lamps for spaces where the lights can be mounted no more than 12 feet above the floor. Naturally they are made in China, but the construction quality looks good. We have had about 16 of the 80 Watt lamps installed for about 80 months and so far no failures. Oh, and as an aside, we really like the 'instant on' feature of these LED lights. Finally, these lamps so far have been readily available at Amazon for some time, which is definitely a positive when you need to purchase these in batches.

Working well as a replacement for metal halide.
Giving it 5 stars for now as it works. Replaced an existing 400W metal halide exterior flood light. I removed the ballast, capacitor, and made a few other modifications to the old housing as this bulb is much larger that the previous metal halide. The Corn Bulb is still a little big for the existing housing so make sure you think carefully about bulb size if making a similar switch. It puts out a lot of light for 80W, not as much as the 400W metal halide though! Using a photocell to turn it on and off daily. Only been installed about 4 weeks. We will see how well it holds up. I switched mainly because at least once a year I had to replace the metal halide bulb and capacitor, and twice I replaced the ballast over about an 8 year period. I am hoping this bulb will last at least 5 years without any service, that would make the $ work out.

Great product!
I used this 80 W bulb to replace 250 W high pressure sodium bulbs in my parking garages. It took 10 minutes to modify the fixture to accommodate a direct wire bulb like this. This bulb works as well as other led bulbs that are 4 times more expensive. I've replaced 20 of them so far and the energy savings should cover the cost over a 2 year period. This bulb projects a lot of light and my building owners are very very happy with the results. I highly recommend this product.

Great fit
Used these in gaslight style posts.

Buy this bulb if you want a no-electrician 2 minute upgrade to a dull area. I want to eventually run more fixtures
I have this in my basement in an uncovered ceramic 600W pullstring adapter on my basement. Low height basement. It replaced a 60W Cree.Pros: It throws more light. Buy this bulb if you want a no-electrician 2 minute upgrade to a dull area. I want to eventually run more fixtures, but this makes life better.Cons: The bulb is really bright. Hurts to stare at close distance. Fine from like 10' away. Also its a harsh white light. Great for "where is that small grey piece of pot metal I dropped on my grey cement floor" Terrible for reading on computer use.I have not tested the power draw on this bulb. So I'm assuming its a 15 watt draw like it says. I'm thinking of replacing my fixture with a frosted barn light because its kind of bright to look directly at it which happens due to the low ceiling. I am concerned about shortening the life of it.

Whopper of a bulb but filled up with bugs and died in 2 years
Very bright for a 54 watt bulb. Replaced a 175 medal halide. The only negative thing that i have is the outer glass is too short to put back on with the extra length of this bulb. Removing the ballast was a snap. Will be buying more of them. Shipping was quick also. Update, have used this bulb for a month now and so far no problems. Its hard to believe how much light it has for only 54 watts I bought 3 of these. One went bad in a month but delphi sent me a new one no questions ask. I will update after done more time passes to see if they hold up.

Good results but short life
Update: First bulb failed after 2 years running about 8 hours/day. Good support, sent a warranty replacement. Unfortunately, same result: failed after about 2 years at 8 hrs/day. So it's a good choice if you overlook the life span claims and you're willing to pay the price every couple of years.I would consider this a 5 star if it continues to perform over time as it does currently. I bought this 54w LED corn bulb to replace a Mercury vapor area light. I had to remove the ballast from the old fixture which was real easy. One key feature was the short size of the bulb so it would sit fully inside the refactor lens and not leave any part of the bulb exposed to weather. Even though it is IP64 rated, I didn't want to chance having a heavy, blowing rain storm soaking the bulb. I've had it up now for a few weeks and some light storms and it seems to be fine. I believe it has an internal cooling fan and it will be interesting to see how that holds up during hot Texas summer nights. The light is easily as bright at the vapor light and very 'white'. I would have preferred a 4000 Calvin warm white, but there just isn't anything like that I could find and this bulb is fine. I did have a temporary issue with my IR security cameras being confused by the daylight/shadows and losing clarity, but for now, the trees in the area are bloomed and seem to have mitigated that problem. We'll see in the fall.

2 thumbs up
I've had a number of the 9 watt Dephen bulbs in service for about 6 months, a couple are on 24x7 and are working fine. The 15 watt is a larger sized bulb, you need to make sure it fits your fixture. The build quality of the Dephen bulbs appears excellent and so far, they have been working perfectly, with good light output. The higher wattage bulbs get pricey, but if they go the rated 50,000 hours, and I assume they will, they can be worth it. Matching lumen output and fixture design are critical in using these corn bulbs effectively.
