KONG Trender Double Ascender

this looks like the updated version of a very nice doubled ascender from Kong. with larger handles, softer grips, and an updated security mechism which slides in to place and locks with a tethered carabiner to prevent the cams from opening, the Kong Trender ascender is the bees knees. i need to return my boss' original Trender which i have had for like a year, so im very happy they are selling this thing and in an upgraded form too

Yes and no. You need to understand everything about this ascenders operation. Twelve strand rope is not what you want to use. More strands are better for removing it from the rope. It will handle 1/2 13mm easy. Twelve strand is harder to get off the rope while under a load and when you are tired. Twenty four strands work great.
