Excellent even if it is a few years old
Love this guide book. It’s really well written and not just a list of attractions like some guides. It explains the different neighbourhoods and is very clear and practical. It also treats you to some decent pictures too.I’m impressed.Highly recommended

Boujght as a gift after recommended by a friend
Bought as a gift so can't give a realistic review. However, the Time Out city guides were recommended by a friend who does a lot of European city breaks so I'm sure that it compares favourably with all other guides.

Marvelous Madrid!
This guide is invaluable, and enhanced my visit to this wonderful city. The detailed advice and information are clearly laid out, and the maps most helpful. This book isn't just a list of facts, and includes witty and informed articles on the city's culture, politics and daily life.

Madrid in a book.
This book looks at topics like history, shops, restaurants, bars, sights, and many more. At the back, as well as street maps and metro map, the back contains useful information on things like phrases, safety, climate, public holidays, newspapers, and websites to continue your research.

Not as good as other guides
Somehow not as good as their guides to Paris and Venice but it still gives a few good tips to cafes, bars and restaurants.

Not the best
Not very good. A lot of info was just not correct and it was hard to get a feel of the city from this book. Maps were fiddly and hard to use
