Solved the Dashcam rebooting issue with i-Stop and added Parking Mode!Viofo A229 Pro 4K Dashcam in a 2025 Mazda CX-5 Premium Plus.I used the supplied 10 pin Type-E connector and mounted the Dongar Pro on the windshield, left side of the mirror mount cover.

This wiring harness made installing my windshield mount dash cam on my Miata incredibly simple. No hardwiring, no tapping into fuses — just plug and play behind the rear view mirror. It saved me a ton of time and hassle, and it works perfectly once everything stays in place.The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is the adhesive. I live in Florida, and even after thoroughly cleaning the back of my rear view mirror with alcohol to degrease it, the included tape just couldn’t handle the heat. It kept falling off.I ended up removing their adhesive and replacing it with Gorilla Tape, and now it’s holding steady with no issues. So the product itself is great — just be aware that if you’re in a hot climate, you’ll likely need to swap out the tape. Deducting one star for that frustration, but overall still very glad I bought it.

Perfect solution for a clean DIY dash cam install. Plugged directly into the rearview mirror with zero wire clutter and worked immediately. The parking mode options are easy to configure. Highly recommend if you want a professional-looking setup without hardwiring. Installed on 2024 Mazda CX-5 Carbon Turbo - had to fully start and turn off for parking mode to work (not just ACC power).

I have a 24 Mazda CX-5 and it was very easy to install. I’ve only had it setup for a couple of weeks but I haven’t had any issues. I have it setup to only record when the car is on. It is paired with a VIOFO system.

The Dongar Pro I received was originally missing the microUSB and miniUSB connectors and only came with USB-C to USB-C even though the other connectors were included in the product description. I contacted their support and they shipped me out the correct cables right away. However, after installation I quickly realized that their "Parking Mode" is not the same "Parking Mode" all dashcam vendors advertise. Parking mode on most dashcams is a low-power or motion-activated recording mode. On the Dongar all it does is switch the power feed from the Ignition/Switched 12V to the constant 12V so the dashcam itself is fully unaware that the car has been turned off. They do have a newer version coming out that supports native parking mode, but this "Pro" model is not it.Dongar should really call it "continuous power mode" in advertisements, and they actually DO say "continuous mode" instead of "Parking Mode" in the manual. They could at least add a little disclaimer that it doesn't support the Viofo, Rexing, etc definition of "Parking Mode".It gets four stars due to the missing parts delaying install and lack of true parking mode.

Purchased this to install in a 4th Gen Mazda 3. Followed the instructions and the windshield wipers would turn on by themselves - the wiper stalk would not do anything. Removed the device and then the wipers would not work at all, plus the dash lights were not working. Had to disconnect the battery to reset the car in order to fix the issues. This is a new car less than one week old. Not sure how a power cord for the rearview mirror would cause such severe faults in the car. Would not trust this again.

Works great with Mazda CX5 2025 model! Installation is super easy using with Garmin X310 dashcam.

This product works exactly as described—when it works. The issue is that it does not work with the USB-C cable provided.I contacted customer service to report the issue. They responded and began helping me troubleshoot the problem. During the process, I decided to try some other USB-C cables I had on hand. With a higher-quality cable, I was able to get the product working.I informed customer service of this discovery, but after that, they stopped communicating and simply asked me to rate the support I received. They never offered to replace the defective cable, which was disappointing.

This works like a charm!!!! The definition of plug n play for the exact model of my car. Honestly it’s a bit pricey at 1st thought but for how easy it installs, it’s a must buy. The ease to get your dashcam installed without having wires all over the place and WITHOUT needing to hard wire anything to the battery makes this a must buy. Wish I knew about this sooner. 5 full stars!!!!

Wow a perfect piece électrique and easy to install

The parking mode stopped working after about six months of use.I have been using the "TIMED" mode, which is set to record for four hours after the engine is turned off. However, the camera now stops recording immediately after I shut off the engine.I also tried switching to "CONTINUOUS" mode, but the result was the same — recording stopped as soon as the engine was turned off.The hardwire kit has an LED indicator that shows its status. The LED is red while the engine is running. After I turn off the engine, it changes to purple after about 50 seconds, then turns blue, and my dash cam shuts off. Shortly after that, the LED turns off as well.This product isn't cheap, so I'm very disappointed.
