One cannot heat very high for any normal length of a recipe, as explained on the accompanying directions so it really is just a ‘ keep warm, crock. Also recently while keeping melted cheese on low for fondue when a guest lifted off the lid it exploded into a zillion small pieces like a car safety shield would ! Thankfully no one was in its trajectory direction! Hv no clue why this occurred.

Extremely hot on the exterior. Not safe! I wouldn’t trust this item at all! Not a real Crockpot brand and VERY hot exterior! If you are concerned about that kind of thing do not waste your money on this product! It’s also available online for a lot less money too! I love the size but am so disappointed in the exterior heat safety problem.

I am very happy with my slow cooker. Perfect size for a one/two person household. Does not take too much space in my cabinet and I am happy I purchased this cooker.
